There are a lot of low-budget movies that are cheap knockoff cash-grabs. Those sorts of movies are infuriating in their combination of cynicism, pretentiousness and incompetence.
And there are no-budget movies like this one, which is essentially a couple dudes with a camcorder and a dream just having a blast and trying to make something entertaining. It's ridiculous, it's inept, it's sometimes incoherent and it's endearingly earnest in its apparent good intentions. It's as if the creators wrote a script that made them laugh, shot it over a weekend with the help of friends and family, and released it into the world. No, it's not a good movie; but it's affable, sometimes incisively funny and enjoyable if you go in with expectations sufficiently lowered.

I think the creators of this movie set out to make a spoof. With a limited budget, they chose to deliberately make a "bad" parody. They appear to have succeeded brilliantly.
And the acting, although bad is still so over the top I really enjoyed some Scenes.
The writing, set free from the confines of realism, I believe thoroughly enjoyed themselves. And they used the lack of confinement to conjure a very silly, but satisfyingly humorous tale of dangerous chemicals, sorcery, werefolk, Vikings, nymphs, vampires, low self esteem, bromance, romance, badasses, along with gratuitous helpings of gaphs (or is it gaffs) etc.
Oh, and a Werehuahua.
