A whole movie full of unlikable characters doing unlikable things. The baby is the only one you can root for. Discount Mark Wahlberg can't act. Discount Idris Elba is out of gas. Discount ScarJo isn't funny, or sexy. Discount Paul Giamatti couldn't carry it. Plot holes. Choppy editing. Goofy dislodge. Feels like a p9rn flick trying to go legit. I'd pass on this one. There is no resolution. Things happen in unexciting ways and resolve to nothing. There are a lot of still shots of characters not emoting anything. I guess it's supposed to have and poignant, but it's all just awkward. Discount mafia dude was hilarious.
With a very wide and diverse cast, this film with no surprise did not have a wide release and now still seemingly hasn't found much of an audience. Right from the beginning, the open scene has an interesting and engaging premise and delivers an expected process. We are later introduced to characters as they come in one by one.
The feel and camera look of the characters, their acting and the settings certainly have that Lifetime movie feel- where things are slightly over exaggerated to a degree. The lead actor, as perhaps pointed out by another reviewer has a slight reassemblance to Mark Wahlberg, in both acting wise and appearance.
Even though the story is rather far fetched and highly unrealistic (ex: Were there no security cameras in the hospital to catch the "act"?/ How was he able to escape without anyone seeing him heave the hospital?)
In the end it's nothing special but stop watchable for the end result. Which wasn't entirely predictable, though a little silly.

Well, based on a novel, this movie is a slow burner with topical things that happen very often in this world.
The title of the movie could have been better. Katrina Bowden as Barbara and. Derek Smith as Billy act well.
Insurance fraud is universal and the director (Rick Bieber) handled the subject well.
In the movie, the director didn't bother to deal with the status of the insurance compensation from the hospital.
Rob Schneider, as Ethan, failed to impress us. No sincere involvement, I would say.
Cress Williams as Paul Drake has done justice to his limited role.
Overall, if you don't expect too much from a movie with relatively more new comers/unknown actors, this movie will keep you engaged to an extent.
