If youre into south korean comedy setups. its the local take on ''how to kill your immortal spouces, or mockinbirds etc'', quite funny, but a little bit slow due to the south korean hang to make the movies long, nearly 120 mins, chop it to 90 mins wouldve been perfect. i viewed a terrible english subtitled version, but the moviemakers has made an esperantolike, universal lookalike so youll understand the plot without having a clue what they say.
acting, score and some effects are great so a small recommend from the grumpy old man

The film is not a great masterpiece but is truly funny and enjoyable. I like it and rated 7 stars. My wife does not enjoy Korean films in general but she laughed and laughed the whole time and found the film very funny. Worth watching definitely.
Preliminarily, the version I watched is currently streaming on Prime and whoever did the English subtitles was borderline illiterate. If there's a version with better subtitles or dubbed translation out there it is probably more enjoyable. Regardless this movie wasn't especially difficult to follow. The title, rendered in English as 'Night of the Undead' (again maybe due to translation deficits), implies this is a Zom-Com. It isn't. Instead the basic premise is that a newlywed discovers that her too-perfect husband may be an extraterrestrial malefactor and/or a cheater so she enlists some oddballs to help her uncover the truth and/or seek retribution. The humor is generally broad and silly but fun; the movie overall provides an overlong but affable comedy diversion.
Right, well as I sat down here late in 2022 to watch the 2020 South Korean sci-fi comedy "Jukji Anneun Ingan-Deul-e Bam" (aka "Night of the Undead"), I must admit that I was expecting this to be a zombie movie, given the movie's title.
So imagine my surprise when this movie was not a zombie movie, but instead a movie about some extraterrestrial being coming to earth and disguising itself as a man. Yeah, talk about a misguiding movie title.
And to make matters worse, then writers Hang-jun Jang and Jeong-won Shin managed to collectively dish out a script and storyline with about as much appeal as cardboard. This storyline in this movie was just so paper-thin that there hardly was any entertainment value to it. In fact, I even dozed off to Slumberland once during the nearly two hours that the movie trotted on for.
Sure, they had a good cast ensemble with some familiar faces. But it was a real shame that they virtually and literally had nothing to work with in terms of a proper script.
Not only was the movie something else entirely than I had anticipated, but it was also frightfully devoid of funny situations. So I wasn't event brought to laughs as I suffered through 110 minutes of the ordeal that is this movie.
If you, like I do, enjoy the South Korean cinema, give this movie a wide berth. It just simply isn't worth the effort.
My rating of director Jeong-won Shin's 2020 movie lands on a two out of ten stars.

Night of the Undead is a horror comedy that has a surprisingly good soundtrack - the music is great for an otherwise middling film.
A woman in her 30s seems to have finally found her person, and brags to her women friends over dinner about their secret wedding and his successful career. However, he's been working late a lot recently so she decides to check up on him with an old school private investigator. In fact, the whole movie kind of reminds me of American mystery-comedies from the 1970s and early 80s such as Murder By Death or The Cheap Detective. The humor is equally as silly and just bizarrely off the wall.
