For two years the Steve Allen TV show was similar to his radio show and featured singer Peggy Lee, announcer Bern Bennett and Llemuel the Llama. The Steve Allen Show premiered at 11 a.m. on Christmas Day, 1950, and was later moved into a thirty-minute, early evening slot.
