I really liked "Machine Girl", but this short was too ridiculous to enjoy. Somebody must have had some money left over after the main feature was in the can, and wanted to give his girlfriend a little more exposure.
I would be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy much of Yoshie's training, and her peppy dances, but the plot(?), writing(?) and acting(?) ruined it for me. I would rather have seen a short in which Yoshie was saved from death, and trained to become a good basketball player, in Ami's honor. Or beach volleyball player ... that would have worked, too.
If you watch this, do yourself a favor: ignore the story, and focus on the visuals, if you know what I mean ... and I think you do.

A spin-off of Machine Girl, Shyness Machine Girl sees the return of several characters that I - quite understandably - assumed were dead: Japanese schoolgirl Yoshie (Noriko Kijima) and several yakuza, who call themselves Team Killing. After extensive training with mentor Suguru (Yûya Ishikawa), Yoshie is ready to take revenge on the villains who killed her friend Ami and who left her for dead
Apart from a few flashbacks, and some terrible gore effects towards the end, Shyness Machine Girl is devoid of the over-the-top splatter that made Noboru Iguchi's Machine Girl so much fun. It's still very crazy -Yoshie has a machine gun that sticks out of her ass and she becomes more deadly the more embarrassed she gets - but the cartoonish silliness wears very thin, even at just 22 minutes. Thankfully, star Kijima is extremely easy on the eye and the film wastes no opportunity to exploit her sexiness, with plenty of shots of her ass, sneaky glimpses of her crotch and a finalé that sees her cavorting in a bikini (her bashfulness making her invincible).
4.5/10, rounded up to 5 for IMDb.

A 22 minutes masterpiece. Fans of Machine Girl, will surely enjoy this short cult flick. First of all, this is not a sequel to The Machine Girl. Its a spin off. The story revolves of Ami's friend(Noriko) who was killed and stabbed in the head by the Yakuza Gang Leaders Wife and after a week, she was saved by a mechanice(You don't say and I saw him being chopped off by Shurikens. The stupidity started to increase.) So, she remembered about her past and decided to avenge her friend Ami. Spoiling this short movie will ruin your motivation. Okay, it was entertaining and funny at the same time. Especially the Machine Gun on her ass. Mostly the short movie succeeded on comedy but not on action. The special effects are low and the acting is stupid(Really, Really Bad=Entertainment). Recommended for Fans.
