Dagger Kiss: Enchanted Forest

Any good reviews you see heree must have come from cast members. This is the most cringe thing I've ever seen. Some movies are so bad they are funny, but this isn't even funny. I'm guess the budget was somewhere around 12 dollars and it shows. The writing and dialogue is on par with a 3rd grade short story assignment. The "acting" is embarrassing to watch. And the story is boring. You could literally do better casting any random person you met in a grocery store, which appears to be what they may have done. This is so painful to watch. Please spare yourself some boredom and annoyance and skip this steaming pile. I can not think of one positive aspect of this random video. Calling it a movie is actually not even accurate. Just don't watch it. Stare at the ceiling for an hour and you will be far better off.

I ran across this on Tubi and thought I'd give it a look. It's really bad, the acting, the writing, the costumes, it's just bad in every way. I can only guess that the good reviews here are all people associated with making the picture trying to keep its rating up. The actresses look uncomfortable when they show them kissing each other and trust me, that's all you're going to see is some kissing. For some reason it was rated TV-MA but that's totally fake because it's barely PG for some fake blood. There's a woman in it using a sword and it's painfully obvious that she has no training in actually using it, you can almost see her counting in her head....1.....2.....3.....4. I would tell the producers they wasted their $200 budget because it's unwatchable. I imagine it was filmed on an I-phone so their only cost was a fake sword and costumes from Goodwill and someone's S&M closet. Don't waste your time.

I had a great time watching this show. I think you would enjoy it also. The characters were entertaining. I had a little trouble understanding a few things because I hadn't watched the series yet. But not enough to take me out of the show. Found the main character Arden very interesting, with dark powers that aren't used for evil. The actress playing Katia whod you'd think would be the bad girl did pretty well as a love interest and had a twist of character background. The villain Jareth was nicely played. And sometimes didn't seem like the bad guy a few times. There was a really amazing soliloquy that would stop you in your tracks listening to it in a good way. The Red head is definitely scary.

When I first came up with that summary headline .. I reckon I made the connection subconsciously ... so no pun intended may never have been more warranted than in this case ... still I will always use it (and you will always like it - hopefully) ... which hopefully is also true with this movie right here.

Maybe you are aware of a tv show that exists (limited?) ... I never saw that ... not that many have seen it - but those who have seem to be impressed. At least judging by the overall rating there. So not sure if there is any connection (character names and actors are the same - but not sure, if it is otherwise connected - as in this being a "sequel").

There is a lot of lesbian love here - and a lot of other fantasy stuff. First I had no idea if this was our world or any other reality/universe. Lingerie back in the day with witches, mages and whatnot? Seemed off - but it is a movie so suspension of disbelief .. also while there is a lot of love going around, there is no nudity! Just in case that plays any role for you ... you are now have been made aware of it. Story is decent enough I reckon ... a bonus scene that is either funny or takes away a lot from one character (which we thought would be way more powerful than that I reckon) comes during the credits ...

The greatest assets are the two main actresses. Katia is a classic heroine. She is both strong and vulnerable. From the very start you care about her character and what needed to be done to stop the bad guy, Jareth. Arden is the standout. She is earnest, brave, and selfless. She is not burdened with doubt or indecision, setting her apart from the flawed female characters that are typical of most movies. I also liked Jenna, a red haired girl quite a lot. She is sassy and zesty, also probably the most lovely of all the girls.

When I began watching it, after 3 scenes, I didn't like it that much because it was too cliché and cheesy, so I thought to stop watching it, but I decided to watch a couple of more minutes before I gave the verdict and I'm glad I did. I began to enjoy it because the cheesiness went away and the story actually started to expand, and it is really exciting and creative.

Disclaimer, I don't like fantasy, so I did not think I would like this. This is not my typical fare. I watched this because there are actresses in it from a movie I like. That movie is set in the real world. However this movie is not, but the girls are lovely and the scenery is breathtaking,

My main complaint is that I didn't really understand the plot upon my initial viewing, so I needed to watch again. Lots of exposition. I think they spend half the movie explaining what's going on. You could write a novel with all that dialogue.

My second issue is that I couldn't always understand what they were saying. Both because it was fantasy jargon I'm unfamiliar with, and also because I simply could not hear them.

Not everyone is going to like this, which is why I've given it an 8 and not a 10. Ignore the plot and the talking but focus on the beauty of the actresses, characters and the forest they inhabit. If you like fantasy and you don't mind the low budget aspect and can look past that, I think that this is a diamond in the rough treasure that you will enjoy.
