Great acting in the middle of nowhere

What better place to encounter aliens-and worse place to attract human customers to your alien jerky store-than the middle of the Mojave Desert? Well, to be honest, the odds of either happening are pretty low, as the protagonist of this sci-fi short soon discovers.

The story is fun, and there's a great comedic twist at the end. I actually expected it to continue into something even more over-the-top, but I was still very satisfied with how it wrapped up.

One thing that stands out from the very beginning is the actor playing the protagonist-he does an absolutely fantastic job. I'm not familiar with his other work, but I really hope to see him cast in more films.

As for the short itself: the cinematography is strong, the sound design fits the tone perfectly, and everything just works. Great job overall! Maybe we'll get a sequel someday?

the truth

I saw it as a very personal story about force - to madness - of belief - , for the realistic tension to have the clues for your truth and, not less, for fine acting of Joshua Drecker.

Sure, the desert is the perfect frame and the routine, like the two tourists or the iguana are fair pieces for this inspired puzzle of expectation and certitude.

Sci Fi Vibes

I love watching this over and over to catch all of the tiny hints about who Jack really was, is, and wants to be.. It's a story about obsession, isolation, a little hope and lot of redemption. And even if you don't love the sci fi vibe (which I do very much) you will appreciate the beautiful shots, the acting, and the original score. So many tiny things you'll miss on the first pass, it's a short - you've got time watch it over and over!
