Turned out excellent. For gamers especially, and for non-gamers alike. It has everything and does everything right. Action, drama, sci-fi, adventure, survival, war, post apocalypse, gritty stuff, serious stuff, heavy stuff, and comedical, satirical stuff that is quite clever. In a way mocks the real world, while the real world (too)often makes a mockery of itself..
All in all, great show, great watch, combines fun and intrigue, highly entertaining, while gloomily, almost depressingly real in some aspects, while those familiarized with the game franchise, will notice abundance of details in all their accuracy..

I love the Fallout franchise, played all of the solo games as they came out and this show captures them. I can watch this show and feel the excitement I had playing the levels for the first time. The series pays homage to it all so far, and very well done in a way my wife who has never played one of the games still understands while enjoying the show. She can see my excitement and knows something is coming by my body language, but they did such a wonderful job bringing the world to life. We are looking forward to seeing more of these come out; I am looking forward to see some more enemies and friends appear on screen.
The test of a good TV series is how much you want to watch the next episode after the previous one has finished. Fallout absolutely passes this test, with me wanting to immediately move to the next episode every time.
The first couple of episodes are quite full of exposition and world building, but once the setting is done, the episodes are uniformly excellent.
The story had four main threads; Lucy (the naïve but plucky girl from a vault), Maximus (the idealistic Brotherhood of Steel grunt), Cooper (a ghoul) and Cooper (in flashback, a Hollywood star). The world has a different history to ours; 1950s tech is more advanced, but with the same aesthetics. And the bomb dropped then as well.
The writing builds both character and tension, slowly weaving mystery and reveals, with frequent dark humour and genuine heart. All the characters feel real, despite their bizarre and post-apocalyptic setting, and they all merit empathy.
Roll on season 2!

My thoughts on Fallout are hard to put into words. In my eyes, it is the most successful series adaptation of a video game. I also find The Last of Us great and it captivated me, but Fallout makes me addicted in a way that no series has done for a long time. The last time I felt this way was with The Mandalorian Season One, which was also a fantastic series. But Fallout is so incredible that I want to play all the games again and consume even more content from this universe.
The main story, in my opinion, is coherent, and there is a cool plot twist at the end that really shocked me. I learned more about Walter and the series itself, as well as the Fallout universe. It remains one of the best series of recent years for me. I hope they maintain this quality.
The series has humor, great music, and the soundtrack is truly top-notch. Songs like "We'll Meet Again" and "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" are fantastic. I also fell a bit in love with Lucy. I find the actress great and she is just too pretty, but that's just a side note. I m simply enchanted.

Fallout, the highly anticipated TV series adaptation of the beloved video game franchise, has successfully transitioned from the world of interactive entertainment to the realm of compelling television. With its rich storytelling, captivating characters, and stunning visuals, *Fallout* not only honors its source material but also stands on its own as a thrilling narrative exploration of a post-apocalyptic world. From the very first episode, viewers are immersed in a dystopian landscape that beautifully captures the essence of the "Fallout" universe. The series takes place in a retro-futuristic world, where the juxtaposition of 1950s Americana and the harsh realities of a nuclear wasteland creates a visually striking backdrop. The production design is nothing short of breathtaking, with meticulously crafted sets and costumes that reflect the game's iconic aesthetic. Each frame feels like a homage to the original series while also offering a fresh perspective that keeps fans and newcomers alike engaged. The writing in "Fallout" is one of its standout features. The creators have skillfully woven together themes of survival, morality, and human resilience in the face of overwhelming odds. The dialogue is sharp and often laced with dark humor, reminiscent of the games' unique tone. This blend of levity and seriousness allows for moments of genuine emotional impact, making the characters' struggles feel all the more real. The series effectively explores the philosophical questions that arise in a world turned upside down, prompting viewers to consider what it means to be human when society has collapsed. Speaking of characters, the cast of "Fallout" is exceptional. Each actor brings depth and nuance to their roles, allowing viewers to connect with their journeys. The protagonist, who embodies the spirit of the Vault Dwellers from the games, is portrayed with a perfect balance of vulnerability and strength. The supporting characters are equally compelling, each with their own backstories and motivations that enrich the narrative. The chemistry among the cast is palpable, creating a sense of camaraderie that is essential for a story about survival in a fractured world. One of the most impressive aspects of "Fallout" is how it manages to incorporate elements from the games while crafting its own original storyline. Longtime fans will appreciate the numerous nods and Easter eggs that pay tribute to the franchise, from iconic locations to familiar creatures. However, the series also introduces new characters and plotlines that expand the lore in exciting ways. This careful balance ensures that "Fallout" feels both nostalgic and innovative, appealing to a wide audience. The pacing of the series is well-executed, with each episode building tension and intrigue. The action sequences are thrilling and expertly choreographed, providing a sense of urgency that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. Yet, the show doesn't shy away from quieter moments, allowing for character development and emotional resonance. This dynamic pacing ensures that the audience remains fully engaged, eager to see what happens next. Moreover, the cinematography in "Fallout" deserves special mention. The show features stunning visuals that effectively convey the desolation of the wasteland while also highlighting its beauty in unexpected ways. The use of color and lighting adds to the overall atmosphere, immersing viewers deeper into this world. Every shot is thoughtfully composed, making "Fallout" a visual feast as much as it is a narrative triumph. In conclusion, "Fallout" is a remarkable adaptation that successfully captures the spirit of the video game series while standing strong as its own entity. With its engaging storytelling, rich character development, and stunning visuals, it offers a captivating viewing experience that will resonate with both fans of the franchise and new audiences. This series is not just a tale of survival; it is a profound exploration of humanity's resilience in the face of chaos. Whether you're a longtime fan of "Fallout" or just looking for a compelling new series to watch, this show is a must-see. Don't miss the opportunity to dive into this beautifully crafted world where every choice matters and every moment counts.
