For a netflix special, this is well above the average. But for Jim, it's arguably his least funny special. He still has the hilarious delivery, but the jokes were weak and far between, most were actually just stories that didn't even lead to a punchline.
I don't know what happened there, I suppose netflix did what netflix does best and ordered him to scrap all edgy humor, so good ol' Jim tried to rely on safe stories... But yeah, pretty disappointing... Still worth watching though.
And what was with the airplane peanut allergy bit? We all know it was basically a recycled Ricky Gervais bit, except your version wasn't even funny. Is it so hard to tell an original joke? This special only has like nine jokes, surely they could've all been original.... It's not enough you steal jokes from Stanhope, now Gervais too. Have you become the male Amy Shumer now? Cause it increasingly feels like it.

It's a decent standup special, but I didn't laugh quite as much as I did during some of his previous shows. Jokes complaining about a different generation are kind of dull for me personally, and that goes for older generations complaining about younger ones and younger generations complaining about older ones. He didn't really bring anything new or fresh to the table in this regard, in my opinion. The stuff about comedic boundaries changing was genuinely insightful and well done though, as it is something that the world is dealing with and trying to balance at the moment. Overall it's a decent way to kill an hour, but I was still a tiny bit disappointed.
I saw him perform this routine live in Birmingham in Dec 2019. It was better, and had extra jokes which appear to have been cut out, notably his Michael Jackson routine, which was the best bit! Legalities maybe? The special suffers for it, as it will be remembered as one of his weakest in comparison to his other releases, which is a shame, as his crowd work was great live. It just doesn't seem to have captured the magic from the night.
Jim is a good story teller. Material was average but disseminated in a way that allowed it to rise above itself.
Older comedians portraying themselves as victims of millennial culture is getting a little over done, Bill Burr/Ricky Gervais etc. Just spit out the edgiest jokes you have, we don't need the extended meta-commentary as a joke in place of actual jokes.
I would have given 8/10 but Jim was looking a little pudgy to me.

A great improvement on his last comedy special, Intolerant is mostly more gigglesome than laugh-out-loud funny, but it's constructed and delivered far, far better than much of his recent work. And the bits about the mystery of women's lotions and millennials being the bigots of the future are both very well done.
