This film made my jaw, literally, drop. Georgia Conlan, I would have given you a standing ovation if this was a play. Amazing performance!

The acting throughout the film was fantastic. I had become a bit blasé towards British films in the past year or two, but this has given me renewed appreciation. The story was gripping, stay with it. I would compare it to others films, some spring to mind, but I feel any link would take away from this film before you watch it. Just go into it blind if you can.

Sometimes it's a hard watch, given subject matter, but it delivers. Emotional and gripping. Highly recommended!

Which isn't saying much, it was watchable, but 5 is as high as I could rate it.

It's fairly obvious what the 'twist' is going to be, but it doesn't move too slowly so it's a watchable film, but it shouldn't be winning any awards - it's a passable made-for-tv film.

I don't want to be u kind, but I have to be honest, I've been more emotionally invested in a department store Christmas advert than this story. It does deal with some (1) fairly serious subject matter, but there is nothing much to rave about.

The cottage looked lovely, exterior footage, although pretty sure it was filmed in the cottage too, not much studio work, other than than the office scenes.

I'm not good at reviewing but I wanted to give this a star rating and have to do 600 words to submit it.

In 2024, it's hard to find a good film that's not spoilt with fast moving CGI.

I'm a big fan of Vera and other crime drama's.

Give me a quiet Sunday afternoon or a misty Friday evening to enjoy a slow, low budget drama any day.

Roy's character worked perfectly, casting was great for him and I liked how his story was told through a probation officer. Not sure how he managed to have a fancy car and such a beautiful cottage though after being in prison for 19 years. Lol. I've seen him on tv in small rolls over the years, top boy, this is England.

Georgia Conlan, first time I have seen her but what an amazing job she did, staring and directing.

Martin (one man band) is very talented. Sound, camera, lighting, editor, visual effects, writing and even catering. Bravo.

I look forward to see more from this team.

I haven't mentioned the film really as it was great, a must watch and no spoilers from me.

In 10 years of using IMDB I have never written a review, but this film changed that. Dreadful, appalling, awful, just some of the words that could be used to describe this film. The only thing worse than the awful plot was the GCSE level acting in this film. From start to finish it was predicatable, poorly written and completely painful to watch. I assume every one of these actors were previously out of work or working on their first acting job because from start to finish it is at best, school year 11 scale acting.

Ignore any positive reviews and save yourself a hour and half! How this was put on Amazon Prime I have no idea. I have seen some poor films in my years but this is by far one of the worse ones.

Absolutely loved this movie only reason it did not have a 10 from me was the rushed ending but other than that this was easy one of the top films of the year for me. I'm not often a fan of British written films as they all seem to have to have a happy ending outcome but this struck a different chord with me.

I felt this film took on a mix of hard candy meets the orphan and it keeps you guessing. At times some where hard to watch which for me makes it a good performance would highly recommend this to be on your watch list and its worth watching to the very end (trust me).

Overall 9/10 excellent movie.

This is the first movie I have seen by Georgia Conlon and it starts off as one type of movie and goes... Well you'll just have to watch and see.

The cast is all really good and it's a nice change of pace from the normal CGI fare put about these days.

The movie definitely explores some dark themes, and goes in some dark directions but it keeps a good pace throughout and isn't predictable.

Georgia is a very talented actress writer and director I'd really rate this film to anyone who fancies something a bit different to the normal big budget fare from the big studios.

Above all an excellent movie about a difficult subject.
