The film is good and sentimental, I really liked the story and acts. The only problem was the last scene in airport. Ok we got the main idea but that scene deserved a better planned transition... i could propose dozens of stories how the kids and saffet took the passports from the visitors but the filmd showed nothing, it made the well story has a a sudden simple ending. Overall is so good.
It was a very well written story with very well developed characters. You could see that all of the characters had a story, they were all real, they all had reasons and all of them contributed to the story. The scenarist made us believe the characters, great job by Sırrı Sureyya! For example, the story of the mother who tried to send her child to Italy (sorry I don't remember the names), her story was very well developed and we could understand why she would do such an act. We felt her feelings that she wanted a better life for her child. Same thing for the story of Dona and Saffet, it developed realistically. The child characters were not left out, they all contributed to the story, for ex the boy who kept finding solutions and the girl who gave Hazan a birthday gift which was sent to her by her no-longer-living father. Great acting by Demet Akbağ. I also liked the acting of Saffet and Dona.
What I did not like about this story was a few of the songs ın the soundtrack list and the final twist at the airport which was very sudden and which was not shown clearly to us. Even if we get the idea, I would like to see a bit more about the twist which saved our characters.

I don't know why but in this season of the periodical history of Turkish cinema, this movie effected me more than the others.. Not the style of phrase but the staging phase.. Cast is important as always as this one proved. "Demet AKBAG" such as or "Altan ERKEKLI". I can't take eyes-off them any time i see'em.. Chief of policeman in this movie not that so convincing in my humble opinion but it surely is a terribly real subject at that time period.. Drama of Communist family is especially once and still situation at this country and those incidents frightfully real.. Even if they're not communist, the administration and their sources decide for them self what they really are. Kids are successful on their play and exceed of their ages except a few dramatized scene. The audience was ready for The end of "Bagdagul" since director told her story but unfortunately it happened just like that in the moment, very fast. Generally, good cast on a good story. However, i felt like something missing in this film, indescribable, unrecordable..
The sound of music, the volume, whatever, is just stupidly noisy! I cant understand the speeches! Thema, actors and actresses are good but the music (in fact it is nice music) is is teasing.. irritating! We say for that kind of sound on the film :"ZIRILTI". yes, just "ZIRILTI".
I have the same idea with the movie "Komser Şekspir", as well. Unfortunately the sound technicians are really bad in some pictures.
I wish they can read this review and watch again the film.
I am sure they will understand what I mean.
I stopped to watch, unfortunately. So irritating.
It is a tragedy in Turkey. Nowadays we can see good productions in cinema about the mentioned tragedy happened in Turkey.
The movie gives a brief information about the period 80'es.
