I watched this movie back to back with its first one.
I found this one was a better thriller than the first.
But this screenplay also follows the famous movies like "visiting hours" It was a solid start from part 1. Not like other movies here you meet the killer with a new team, this starts from what it ended in the first part.
The lead heroine was very convincing in her role since she comes out well in this part.
I should say the accompanying doctor girl had a charming cute comedy stuff face but she tried well.
On the whole it was convincingly presented except some loop holes like they fail to mention about the corpses they found later on in the crevasse.
I would rate it 7 on 10. cos this movie has got some thrills ...
Waiting to see what would they do in the third part.........

I've had the Cold Prey movies built up to me for a while now. All my friends have told me that I need to see them since I like horror movies so much. I had put off watching them since I figured I would just be let down, but finally I decided to sit down and watch the first and second one. I thought the first film was fairly mediocre but I still enjoyed it. Then I popped "Cold Prey 2" in and I was speech less.
There are 3 things that every slasher movie needs to be enjoyable
1. Likable characters - You have to like them in order to be able to cheer them on.
2. A Scary Killer - Someone so intimidating and terrifying that just the sheer thought of them coming after you gives you goosebumps.
3. A Good Pace - This is what a lot of slasher movies get wrong and this was one of the main problems I had with the first film. You don't want to take too long to get the kills going.
"Cold Prey 2" succeeds in all 3 of these aspects very well. The Killer is terrifying, the characters are likable, and things get going almost right from the start. Plenty of gore for the gore hounds and plenty of kills.
If you were not a fan of the 1st film I still suggest you give this one a try. Its a great ride 9/10

There's just something about the country of Norway that lends itself to being the perfect location for a horror film. Maybe it's the image most people have of it being desolate, cold, dark, and isolated. It might also have something to do with the fact that 90 percent of the music we hear coming out of the country is death or black metal. "Cold Prey II" definitely doesn't help give movie audiences an alternate view of what to expect if you plan a ski trip to that part of the world.
After surviving a horrific killing spree at an abandoned ski lodge, a college girl named Jannicke (Ingrid Bolsø Berdal) is taken to a remote hospital for treatment. She tells her story to the local police who decide to investigate her claims. They return hours later with the bodies of her four friends and the mountain man responsible for the massacre. Unfortunately, the monstrous murderer isn't dead and begins slaughtering the patients, nurses, and doctors in his mission to finish what he started with Jannicke.
"Cold Prey II" is the perfect example of a modern slasher film done right. Although it brings nothing new to the table, it manages to keep up a level of suspense and delivers some legitimate jump scares at the same time.
I couldn't shake the feeling that director Mats Stenberg and writer Thomas Moldestad were doing their own version of "Halloween II" and "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter" for a Norwegian audience. Like those classic 1980s films, much of the action takes place in a hospital. The vision of the giant killer in "Cold Prey II" standing at the end of a corridor with the lights blinking reminded me of the same type of scenes in the sequels to John Carpenter and Sean S. Cunningham's iconic originals.
"Cold Prey II" is a welcome addition to the slasher genre. It's not doing anything new, but continues passing the torch to a new generation of horror fans and filmmakers. It will give viewers a sense of hope we don't get much anymore when it comes to these types of movies.

I absolutely loved the 1st one, classic slasher done so very well. This sequel was fantastic as well. It moved from one great place of atmosphere to another one. From the cold hotel to an even colder looking hospital, It had more of just about everything the 1st one did, but still without crossing the lines into "junk gore". It remained, like the first,. a remarkable classic slasher with all the right bells, whistles and jump scares. It's much harder to find = a lot more expensive to got your hands on than the 1st but well worth it in every way if you are looking for another quality slasher for your collection.
What kind of slasher lover am I....make me jump, creep me out, give me moody atmosphere and decent blood kills but I have zero interest in being psychologically traumatized (Torture and disturbing stuff) or making me want to vomit with disgust. (Needless gore and guts). If you like classic slashers you should love this well enough.

I first saw this in 2010 on a dvd which I own.
Revisited it recently.
This film picks up where the first left off, so it's a direct continuation and inspite of this, this second part takes ample time to start the action cos we have new characters but the the director did a fine job in character development as well as creating solid suspense n tension. In this part we come to know more terrifying past of the killer.
The premise in this one changes from the deserted snowy landscape to a Norwegian hospital that is on the verge of being closed down and is mostly isolated n far off from main city.
I liked this one more than its predecessor cos it has more kills, some brutal ones, lots of suspense n tension n one of my fav horror movie locations.
Halloween n Visiting Hours may come to viewers' mind while viewing this.
