Tom Hardy in Bronson (2008)

Errores

Bronson

Editar

Continuity

(at around 1 min) The security guard in the background is visible on some scenes but does not appear on others. On certain transitions he not there, then a few seconds later he reappears.

Factual errors

At (11:00) The tutor asks Charles "What's the matter, Charlie?" But in this stage of the story Charles Bronson still had his original name Michael Peterson. He had not yet changed his name to Charles Bronson.
In the movie, Michael's/Charles' loot from the post office robbery is some £42 and small change. In reality, it was £26.18.
Large parts of the film depict events that never happened; in particular the sequence where Bronson is released 'for being sane' during the 80's (Charlie was declared sane, sent back to prison and subsequently released in 1987), goes to live in a brothel (the 'brothel' is supposed to depict Uncle Jack's flat), starts a bare-knuckle boxing career (Charlie did box but never bare fisted) and gets his 'new' name, (His boxing promoter changed his name but not officially) then proposes to a girl before being sent back to prison. (Charlie did steal an engagement ring with the intention of proposing to his girlfriend. Also, Charlie only met Tom Hardy on two occasions.
When Peterson/Bronson is talking about the first job he had, he is seen dumping potatoes into a bin. As the boss walks out, he says "Bring the fries, Peterson."

When describing fried potatoes, the British use the term "chips" or "crisps"; they don't use the word "fries" to describe potatoes. North Americans use the term "fries".
When Peterson goes through intake at Hull Prison (?), the prison governor states "Well, well, well, Charles Bronson is it now? ...an American-Mongolian pop star" and the guard corrects him to say "film star".

However, the actor "Charles Bronson" (real name Charles Dennis Buchinsky) was an American from Pennsylvania with Lithuanian parents; not Mongolian.

Anachronisms

When Charlie is dancing with the "loonies", "It's a Sin" by Pet Shop Boys is played out of the stereo. The song was not released until 1987.
The watch which lays in the basket after Charlie is declared sane was actually made in 2008-09 and sold at Wal-Mart for around 40$ CAD.
The character of Webber compliments Bronson on his physique, "nice guns". That's a turn of phrase which did not exist in England at that time, being a relatively modern U.S. import.

Crew or equipment visible

When Michael goes round in circles in his prison cell, faint shadows of camera equipment are visible on his left arm.
(at around 1 hour and 15 mins) While sitting on the stairs immediately before his last incident (after saying "what you know about what I fucking want"), there is a large piece of hair/lint caught in the camera's gate, on the bottom right of the screen. These are removed digitally in post production when they happen, but was not removed in this case.
