I agree tashadaviesjj. The clue was in the outline of the story - surveillance - so no screaming tyres, no car chases, no running after suspects. The watcher needs patience - not just us - but the actual people doing it. Everyone now wants things sorted out in a couple of days, which doesn't always happen. One thing did amuse me though did none of these folk have curtains/blinds at their windows therefore allowing anyone to be able to see straight into their home.

The first two episodes it went nowhere. But from the third the storyline picked up for me.

As always, they could have told the story in less episodes.

But it wasn't bad at all.

Think ITV did us all a favour cancelling this series before episode 5 was shown. Very predictable and uninspiring.

Managed to catch last episode before it was removed from ITV Player.

Positive is that it has beautiful scenes of Manchester and good music. Which partially makes up for a predictable ending.

Well, what can I say.... The script seems to have been written by a team of 1st year media studies students who have not been shown anything about Manchester at all - especially as to what the aveage Mancunian is wearing. Haven't seen such terrible costumes in Manchester ever!. The story line is deplorable, and bears no resemblance to real police procedures. This it one of the worst productions ITV have ever made - characterisations are poor in the extreme and the plot is so convoluted and just fails miserably in its credibility and continuity. You are just left thinking "That's not right..." and "They wouldn't do that....." A story HAS to have a certain amount of believebility if it is to succeed, and this just doesn't have that. Best avoided, in my opinion.

This is a really slow burn. The dialogue is at best pedestrian with conversations about nothing. The police force terminology and script is laughable - I'd stick with line of duty. Characters are surface level and there are zero visuals or scene setting. Mundane.
