The three episodes seem as if they were dropped in the middle of a larger story. We first meet Lizzy, a young teenager, on her own, seeming on the run. Men are chasing dissidents. One night by her campfire, along comes Thomas, who says he means her no harm. Even shares an apple, something unheard of in those times. The dark refers to a time of hatred and violence, cold and evil. The start is really never explained. Lizzy is searching for where her brother may be. We find that Thomas (Tommy) had a family, but now only him and his daughter Alice. And there are hunters seeking to collect a bounty. The third episode give a religious overtone to the entire theme, but still with many questions posed. And that caused me to drop my rating. There needs to be more to the story.

I'm just not sure what is worse. The acting, writing, or horrible "god will save us" vibe. Just horrible.
Obviously a very low budget affair, and that is painfully evident every step of the way. Unrealistic characters that are as cliche as they come. The worst end of the world stereotypes for characters and the inexplicable persecution of Christians. How do movies like this get made?
What's worse is that they force reviewers to have a minimum length on the review. How many different ways are there to say something is horrible? I guess if you are a Christian who's entire existence revolves around your faith, and you are that one dimensional, you may scrounge out some enjoyment here.

Basically the synopsis of this movie is good versus evil. It appears that people had died off from some type of virus, which they don't even really describe to you, and now the people that are around or survivors are good versus evil. It's very low budget, it's in about three different locations were they film, basically a few different rooms of some building, a small area in the woods and that's about it. There's virtually no action and just conversation. It's basically a Christian movie. Basically a 15 year old girl who's walking through the woods for about a minute, gets picked up by this guy who's trying to protect children from the so-called dark forces or group of evil people. And honestly that's about it, it's not worth watching. Don't waste your time.
