If you're looking for 90 minutes of a fundamentalist Christian filmmaker portraying homeless people as mindless zombies, Hispanic people as criminals and drug dealers, and Amish people as mentally challenged, I guess this is the movie for you. Additionally, a fundamentalist Christian mocking someone else's beliefs is one of the most hypocritical things imagineable...
Worst examples of intolerance I've seen in a movie. I explained more in another review. But then, it goes on to make fun of people with developmental disabilities. Apparently calling people the R word is acceptable in this unChristian 'Christian' film. If racism and prejudice is your jam, this is for you.
I believe this movie isn't the greatest thing you could see, but, it is definitely respectable as a whole. David A. R. White I actually respect a whole lot, due to his own testimony being powerful, and this story is also very much powerful as well.
It's in many ways, from my understanding, his own testimony being touched upon in this movie, as he was raised in a Mennonite community(who do share many similar Amish beliefs). Thing is, a lot of people don't understand the seriousness of how demonic and Satanic Hollywood truly is, and this movie went out of its way to point that out uniquely.
To start, this is a comedy that goes out of its way to still be Christian, and yet it is also unafraid to portray this story uncensored. The adult humor and comments do tend to be very shocking at times, and yet also with many hilarious moments that made it hard to not enjoy it.
My personal favorite moments? They're in the trailer. The first of the two involve where David A. R. White's character interacts with the homeless people in Hollywood, as they surround him while he's politely saying "Maybe you guys need Jesus...", all for them to say "We don't need Jesus, we need your money man!". It's a joke that is kinda hardcore, but also very realistic, as... Simply put, homeless people who lean on drugs even, they do exist, and they would treat a simple comment about needing Jesus to help them like that in real life even.
The other joke involves a dream where this girl he falls in love with ends up being converted into a Christian with him, so she does a reverse-strip-tease putting on traditional Amish girl clothes. This one alone is just, simply put, genius!
I feel like people were always a bit harsh on this one, as it may not be perfect... For sure, there are many hardcore jokes in this movie, but I respect it for the amount of careful thought that went into making a more adult-focused Christian comedy like this!

What a disappointment! We had been looking forward to the release of this movie. I found this movie just plain silly and dumb. It had no clear Christian message, which is what I have found so good about David White movies. This movie also was very suggestive in an immoral sexual way. I felt it was inappropriate for younger viewers. It should have had a rating to this effect. I was very embarrassed that I did not preview this movie before watching with my children. I felt the jesting of Christianity did a disservice to all Christians. David White's talents were truly wasted here. I would not recommend this movie at all.

I can't believe this move came out so long ago and I never heard of it. This is one of the funniest, healthiest, cutest Christian films to ever come out. It's very realistic. This movie made me think of The Lord every eight minutes. David A R White is a force of nature. He is making history, and changing lives. I don't know why David A R White is not winning the Academy Award yet. The Lord is in every scene, in every shot, in every frame, in every grain of this film. In this film, we see the inner workings of the Hollywood machine and how it is better to love God than to want to be in movies. This movie gives me all of the ammunition I need to do my work converting and witnessing. I just put this movie on, pull out a big "J", and smoke it. Then I fall asleep, and the person who thinks I'm trying to convert them gets confused and then they haul ass.

- ErroresWhen Roy and his uncle are going through the car wash, the worker asks for money and hands the uncle a bag of pot. However, the next several lines refer to cocaine and the bag of pot is never mentioned.
