For people with class , this will be a good movie , but won't able to win the heart of ordinary audience who's seeking for masala , enjoyed this movie even though performance of some actors are arguable, however in a package it's a good movie and definitely better than captain miller or ennai noki payum thotta.
You will be seating at edge of your seat with the nail biting chasing sequences and the last 30 minutes of the movie is very good , there is some unwanted character bindings in the movie which can be avoided
In overall it's a good attempt by GVM to stay away from usual template of indian movies.

Despite its intriguing premise, the film fails to live up to expectations due to poor direction and uninspired writing. While the action scenes are commendably choreographed and the experimental music by Karthick adds some flavor, the film struggles to engage viewers beyond these moments.
Krishna Kulasekharan delivers a standout performance, bringing depth to his character and serving as a saving grace amidst the film's shortcomings. However, the rest of the cast falls short, lacking the necessary acting prowess to elevate the material.
Director GVM's simplistic and stale writing results in a lackluster narrative that fails to captivate. The film's pacing suffers, particularly during conversational scenes where the dialogue fails to spark interest.
Despite attempts to emulate the success of "John Wick" with a Desi twist, "Lost Potential" ultimately falls flat. While it may appeal to fans of action-packed sequences, its overall execution leaves much to be desired. Viewers are advised to approach with tempered expectations and to focus on the few positives the film has to offer.

Didn't watch a film such this film authentic since it reminded me Tamil version of Jones Wicks though it met 100%. The action of Varun is worth to be appreciated for it is pettish triumph to Hollywood
Cultured action movie. Exaggeration is neglected through out the film.love affairs and romantic scenes in the manner of Hollywood which I truly expect in the movies. John wicks thriller movie of killing with gun but this film slightly followed the steps of Jone Wicks with Tamil conversation fights scenery.behind the antagonist secrecy is induced towards climax. Finally shocked climax is that her own father is the villain of the born child.
What a trainwreck of a film! GVM has fallen to the lowest of lows in the writing department - there's absolutely no redeeming element in the screenplay. The characters are boring, the treatment is serious (but not pulpy), the twists are banal, and the performances are atrocious. Varun struggles big time to carry the film on his shoulders, and while he's okay in the set pieces, he's abysmal in the romantic segments. Raahei, who plays his love interest, is equally bad. She plays a damsel-in-distress of the supermarket variety, replete with countless moments of being dragged out on roads, cars, and buildings.
I think GVM put on his ENPT/AYM cap once more while writing and shooting the second half. And here I was, thinking Varun and Raahei would run away with the "worst performer" honors. Nope, therein comes the main antagonist (no, not Krishna) in an awful twist, performing like he just dropped out of Big Boss. The entire climactic segment was just painful to sit through. Ppaa, thaanga mudiyale. Baba Sehgal from AYM can rest easy now. GVM and Atlee have one thing in common - no one (..and I mean, NO ONE) can rip off their own movies as effectively as themselves. The only one who understood the assignment was Karthik, who delivered a decent soundtrack.
P. S. I hope GVM gets to move past this mess, along with the financial mess he's in for Dhruva Natchathiram.
P. P. S. I was the only one laughing when I saw "Yannick Ben, Hong Kong" written on an airport placard in one of the scenes. Cool name for a random mercenary indeed, though he's the film's stunt choreographer.

The day 24th November 2023 didn't finished for many GVM fans, but sad to see GVM promoting DD's connect with Joshua and DN without any previous story telling to create a hype it's not GVM way just doing what others did for promotions, and also running with a bare foot was not big sacrifice GVM bring expressions on face was big thing for him, once someone said promoting a bad film was a worst thing ever but GVM did this , the film should speak for shots, moments, music, actors but not for it's delay ,songs except Naan un Joshua song any other songs didn't worked out for "me", Naan un Joshua song can't be enjoy randomly singing because the people named can only do these but GVM tells oh it was for the character even though karka karka and Maddy Maddy songs was solemnly for characters but enjoying still, the movie fails in the impact creating on characters, ok it's GVM universe but there should be a feeling between the characters and audience and any relatable things to feel joshua should save kundhavi, but who she what she did can't be explained by few foreign drug cartel dialogue. Krishna character was still standing in the 1st draft of the script , bond between Joshua and Krishna not well defined so the reunion scene was not impactfull
GVM has many debts and restless for DN
But before 24th Nov there was a question on chiyaan not being responsible for his long pending project to release but at this point, asking that to Vikram is questionable, the trailer cut was amazing for DN and songs too mainly oru manam and his name is John , but to release that now was not the right time, GVM has many better scripts he was a good creator, by vtk he also broke his usual story telling, he need to do big films with big star cast with good scripts may be after those DN release will get a hype but now it is not the right time ,if it is released now what GVM will do for promotions, again and again making interviews in YouTube with same minnale story, kamal Hassan intro scene , varanam ayiram story by mine, kakha kakha suriya fell without stunt double, simbu was comfortable actor, we don't need these stuff GVM, praising those movies was a fan 's part , please GVM do good movies like yours, And again GVM was good creator but not a good producer (not to hate, judge) the prev incidents shows that naragasuran with karthick naren, Harris issue in varanam ayiram , enpt and acham yen bathu was known by all, GVM movies should speak for it's cinema not for its pre release issue like yennai aarindhaal , varanam ayiram, vettaiyadu Velaiyadu , vtk, vtv. The "director GVM" is needed. Still gvm has many good scripts (thuppariyum anand, suraagani, Chennaiyil oru mazhai kaalam) he can do, GVM please do good cinema.
