" Leverage " was a pretty interesting drama.
The con artists story was entertaining and made right this time, as it was not tiring and never got boring. However, the final con was so so, not as good as the rest. But the team was good, with nice chemistry and interesting characters. Especially the ladies, were really good! Plus, the romance was subtle and was just there to add some light, funny moments so it didn't overshadow or took over the plot, as that would have been boring. The performances were really good too.
So, overall, eight out of ten.

Look, I'm totally not anti-"Asian" in ANY way, shape or form (Michelle Yeoh ROCKS, no matter what kind of project she's involved with (and we ALL love George Takei..), but a remake of a great show about 'bad-actors' gone good with an all-Asian cast? Of 12-year-olds no less!? Not so much! Bad idea? Yup, yup! Probably a bad execution (I'm not even gonna TRY to watch.. just makes me burp to think of it..)!
Anyway, who's incredibly painful Brain Fart WAS this idea? Glad someone (Dean Devlin? Who must have been positively apoplectic about this 'version') got their s**t together and decided to do a real re-up, albeit without Tim Hutton.. a huge loss, I know, but as they say in popular circles life is hard, then you die, lol..
Hopefully this incarnation will die very very very VERY VERY soon...

I felt like I was watching an independent movie made by a first time director, starring recent graduate actors.
How can they take a procedural show and turn it into some sad soapy affair.
The first episode started well with the museum heist. Introducing the two thieves. Then the insurance investigator arrives, and we're introduced to his brilliance.
Good so far.
Then we're introduced to his family life.
Fine.
Then the show stays on this guy's family life.
Still...fine, I think?
Then something happens. Excitement is imminent!
That excitement turns into frustration. The second heist is poorly staged. Very low budget. The double-cross is poorly written. Very underwhelming.
Then the episode ends.
I thought 'let me give this show another chance'.
Episode two kept the tradition of episode one. Sad and soapy. Bad acting, underwhelming heist etc.
