The Vampires of Midland

I was surprised that Russian TV series could be of such good quality.

This show combines elements of detective, horror, and comedy.

What differentiates this show from others? Characters! We have a whole Adams-like family of freaking nice, and nicely freaking vampires from a Russian provincial town. There are Casanova-style Frenchman doctor, eccentric pain-in-the-ass countess-actress, and Sonya Blade style cold strong policewoman. And above them all an arch-vampire: in the form of provincial (Uncle Stan) gramp. All actors are perfect in their roles, but the gramp is played by one of the best Russian comical actor. This makes this story to be at first place a comedy. Horror and action are just spices to make it more intriguing, but main dish is dialogues between characters.

All series are connected with a fine plot, where you don't know what will happen next. Each episode ends in a way you NEED to watch next. The family of good vampires from episode to episode tries to keep their incognito while fighting with some evil vampires, and in the meantime proving their innocence to local authorities.

It does not have many special effects but all action scenes are good. Overall the show was made on a good 'Netflix' level. Central Russia's Vampires has a rating of the second top Russian TV series of all time.

If you love detective stories with a mystical twist and humor, then the series "Central Russia's Vampires" is for you. It's a story about how vampires live in Smolensk, trying not to break their agreement with the guardians and not to kill people. But when bloodless corpses are found in the forest, they have to search for the violator and protect their secret. The series surprises with its cozy atmosphere of a provincial town where everyone knows each other and lives by their own rules. There is romance, intrigue, and fantasy. The actors played their roles perfectly, especially Yuri Stoyanov, who fits perfectly into the role of Grandpa Slava - the oldest and wisest vampire. The series is not boring, but on the contrary, it is engaging and entertaining. I recommend it to everyone who wants to watch something unusual and original.

The series is about the kindest vampire. It's a great series. There is a lot of morality here, which the modern world is so devoid of. The screen has never seen such humane vampires. It looks in one breath, you just need to look more attentively, listen more attentively and you will understand everything and if you review it again, you understand that the series looks better than the first time. The series is for completely *ADULT, if you are 14 or 17, you may not understand it, but this does not mean that you need to put a bad rating. There is a fine line in the series that you just need to catch. I repeat, the series is designed for people over the age of 18...

737 / 5,000 Wow! What a surprise. A funny, creative series with excellent actors and, most amazingly, made in Russia. I watched the first episode to see what it was like and now I'm rooting for a third season. The plot seems very basic, but the depth of each character adds a lot of sparkle to the story. It's not the kind of humor we're used to. There are many naturally funny scenes with a different kind of humor. The vampire family in the movie seems very unlikely but they are connected by blood ties ;) They're all perfect in their roles and I found it interesting to watch a series in which I didn't know any of the actors. If you like thrillers and vampires, here you'll find a little bit of both.
