In 1962 Taiwan, student Fang and teacher Mr. Chang fall in love amidst the restrictive White Terror period banning sensitive books. Despite this, Mr. Chang secretly organizes a banned book study group with fellow teacher and student.

In 1962 Taiwan during the White Terror martial-law period, Fang Ray Shin, a female student at the hillside Greenwood High School, is attending counseling with teacher Mr. Chang, and they gradually fall in love. It was a dangerous period in which sensitive books were banned and free speech was restricted, but Mr. Chang secretly organized a study group for banned books, together with fellow teacher Miss Yin and male student Wei Chong Ting.

A fictional tragedy symbolizes the peak of Taiwan's White Terror era. A heartbroken female high-school student who blew the whistle on a secret book club that was strictly forbidden by the official, thus unintentionally causing several teachers and schoolmates to be executed or tortured to death, now seeks redemption by facing her past and helping the last surviving member of the book club to escape from an endless nightmare.—darkside11618
