Give it a shot. It will be, at the very least, an interesting watch.

At points I didn't know if I was enjoying it, but I couldn't stop watching. And then throughout the day, I couldn't really stop thinking about it either.

This is probably going to stick with me, even though it was completely bizarre and sometimes not all that funny.

Funny isn't even the right word. Sure, it's funny in parts, but it's just so odd and fascinating and provocative that whether it's funny or not is almost irrelevant.

I could understand people loving or hating this, and everywhere in between. Certainly not going to be for everyone. But if you like seeing people push standup beyond just "person talks and says funny thing on stage for 60-70 minutes," then give this one a shot.

Compulsory sit down tragedy

I know many who would not manage this. It is literally in-your-face. It is raw, mad, provocative, ugly and very, hideously familiar. The audience is not let off. The few audience members who end up on stage are put through the ringer and it is bad. Very bad. Inappropriately bad. Unforgivably bad. And yet, the whole issue of consent is dealt with right at the beginning. Nobody knows what they have signed up for, Nate is a loose canon and anything that can happen does.

Funny thing is, at the end I cried. I cried properly. I cried for men and women and myself. I cried for Natalie Palmides and for Nate and for the whole audience. Because even when this stuff is laugh-out-loud funny, it tears you to pieces, and reminds you how deep the mess we are in really is.

Don't say I didn't warn you, but Nate is compulsory viewing.

Enjoyable And Funny

I can see why some people don't like this special. Those people probably expected a standard stand-up special but this is so much more. If your a fan of improve and don't mind being uncomfortable at times(that's the point people) then you will most likely enjoy this. I personally found it to be hilarious.

Brave AF and hilarious

You almost never see women-the gender that is raised from birth to please and appease-who are this willing to confront an audience, and mess with them and their expectations. I've never seen a more fearless performer in my life in terms of what she's willing to show of herself (himself?) and how she's willing to challenge the audience and wait politely but authoritatively till they show up for her. You absolutely never know what's going to happen, and when's the last time ANY show was like that? Next-level performing.

Satire Meets Crowdwork to Mixed Results

Natalie plays a macho man on stage in a post-"Me Too" world. The character is ludicrous, disgusting, naive, sad and (at points) trying to do the right thing. Gutsy in look, the protagonist is topless throughout the whole show, sporting a wig, hair everywhere and a handle bar mustache. The large physical performance involves purposely awkward crowdwork that is fun at first, shocking in the middle (as the performance gets pretty raunchy) and pretty middling at the end. And that's how you might describe 'Nate' as a whole. A good concept designed to shock that just ultimately fizzles out as the viewer's asking themselves, 'Why?' Is it a meta-commentary on the ultra-serious one man show? Was that the point? Or was it really just about how men just don't get it? The message is intentionally vague but at least it was entertaining.

disapointing

I have no problem with vulgarities. They can be interesting if used properly. In this show they are used only to be used. A woman plays a man. Arranged, dressed and make up successfully. She plays the chosen character well. And so. I have nothing else positive to say. Banal, without the creativity and insight, that are expected from this kind of show ... My rating 1/10 ... Waste of time! Normal - for me. You may find people who like it.

Hilarious but much more than that.

I don't understand why this has such a low rating. I laughed so much my cheeks hurt many hours later. Natalie is fearless and funny but manages to keep a message about consent throughout the entire show. I cannot recommend this enough. That being said, it's not for everyone.

More EXTRAORDINARILY UNFUNNY Woketard Con-edy!

In the new tradition of Seth Myers, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert, comes more of the same "performance art" NON-comedy (I call it CONedy) that's seething out of the corners and niches of very unfertile minds. This new unfunny "comedy" genre brings another awful waste of time from Netflix (subscription cancelled!).

If your idea of comedy has anything to do with this tripe, I'm very nervous around you. Is seeing a half naked young woman covered with fake hair and fake tats repeatedly yelling "express yourself" funny to you? Then, you've never seen a second of real comedy from George Carlin, Richard Pryor or David Chappelle. They all make you nervous and make you think, alternately or at the same time. This awful experience just made me want to hurl!

The equally and increasingly unfunny (ever funny?) Amy Poehler, responding to people saying this was "disturbing", proclaimed this is "art baby!" I immediately looked up "Natalie Palamides" to see if her other name was "Art." Only explanation for suggesting that this is "Art" baby. There's NOTHING artistic about anything Palamides dumps on us here.

Cancel your subscription to Netflix. Take a walk. Enjoy the sunset. Then, find an old copy of Geroge Carlin or Richard Pryor, and laugh / think for real.

Raw, Unfiltered, Pure Comedy

I haven't been slapped in the face with this kind of comedy in years. If you don't like Kaufman, you won't like this.

If you love the purist form of absurdist crap that leaves you uncomfortable, feeling sorry for the audience, and laughing till you soil yourself, then strap on in.

I need an entire series. I want a collab with GWAR. I can't wait to see more from N.P, because WHAT A GENIUS, HOLY MOLY.

Not only was this show hilarious, but it also has a pretty solid moral lesson for us all............just axe.

Love it, make my brain hurt though...

I love being challenged, especially pondering on societies take on current events. This was brilliant and made my brain spin! I watched it 3 times, wishing more then anything I could talk about this with someone! It really wakes you up if you're not already. (:

loved it.

Unique is not even the word. Almost turned it off 1 min in. Just seemed too weird. Glad i stuck it out. Not what you are expecting, but what you need.

This was so unfunny in so many ways that it must have taken effort to do.

Okay, why two stars then ? Well 1 stars don't get counted and the makeup and acting was actually okay (to a point). But the show tried to only stand on vulgarness and the uncomfortable state of the audiens. This isn't really comedy in any sense of the word, I don't know why it was classed as that in the first place. It's more preforming with a laugh of awkwardness add too it.

I do like satire, dark humor and pythonesque humor, but it was really none to be found here, it was just escalating absurdities and sadness. I really hope Netflix din't use actual money on this because it really makes me rethink my payments too them, as this is something I helped bring into the world then. I would be a better person by using pirat sites instead if that was the case, as that at least meant I was not partaking in making more of this.

This is the "girls and two cups" of comedy, you see it to sare others too, just to see the horror build in them as it downs on them what they have gotten them self into.
