Routine Movie with extra comedy!! 6/10

This movie is a routine movie that has a routine story and routine direction. The only thing that might excite fans is Mahesh Babu's new avatar that has not been seen since Dookudu and Khaleja in 2010 and 2011. Also the military part of the movie barely has anything to do with the film.

Summary: The movie is routine and has absolutely nothing to offer and on top of that there are major directorial and screenplay flaws. Move starts out well but then train comedy comes in the way which absolutely has nothing to do with the damn movie. Then interval bang comes which was good but after that the second half was had bad screenplay. And then comes the last 30 minutes which made half the people leave in the theatre. That's how terrible it was.

In Depth Analysis:

1st half: Movie starts off well by showing the main conflict and opening Mahesh in extreme "vetakaaram." Then out of nowhere the heroine enters and there is this whole scene of comedy in the train for a good 30 minutes. The scene had absolutely nothing to do with it except that they are using it for comedy. The elevations at the pre interval scene were executed much better than other films although it is very routine.

Train Comedy: Not going to lie but the train comedy was extremely funny even though it had nothing to the movie. Mahesh's reaction and expression to what was happening around him was absolutely hilarious. If Anil Ravipudi had put this same instance where this would perfectly blend in with the movie it would've been one of the main plus points.

2nd half: The second half is below average. It starts with an emotional scene and absolutely goes all over the place after that. The screenplay does build up on each other but the director has added many many unnecessary characters and scenes such as Subbaraju's and Vennela Kishore's character only for comedy and elevations; which disturbs the movie. Many people might not like the whole film just because of the crazy second half.

Last 30 minutes: What the hell was the director thinking. This part is absolute crap. It was trying to make comedy but contrastingly it made me and everyone else watching cry. Did the director just make this to extend the movie or to kill the audience completely?

Overall it was routine movie and you can watch if you want to see some good comedy and Mahesh's mass avatar.

Not Upto The Mark

An another routine flick which has nothing new to watch it,avg songs, forceful comedy, loudy bgm, mixed plots made this movie awful.

For Mahesh its an another cakewalk role which has nothing to do with it. After a decade Vijay Shanthi garu made comeback,i liked her screen presence she did justice for the role, heroine was ok with few sparkles in her episodes.

I liked the army touch which they showed about whats the army and how they strive hard to secure the borders.

Conclusion - Its an one tym watch with few sparkles.

Festival for fans....!!!! But..

STORY: Ajay Krishna (Mahesh Babu) is an orphan and a soldier serving at Kashmir. Professor Bharathi (Vijayashanthi) is a righteous professor and single mother of three, with one son already lost during service. How Ajay steps up when she's in trouble forms the crux of the story.

REVIEW: POSITIVES: The film was well balanced work some light humor and some cheeky action scene which are the goosebumps moments for the fans..Mahesh babu was perfectly Casted add major Ajay Krishna.. His comical timing was stupendous..Female lead Rashmika Madanna can be seen some where in the film and there is no importance for her role throughout the film.. Veteran actress Vijayshanti made a solid comeback with this film.. Hey role makes the film more grippy and interesting.. There is nothing more to say about the first half..there is no plot movement.. Just some comedy and some action scenes could make the fans move crazy over superstar.. Coming to the second half.. Into of the villian and warning scenes could be viewed.. The ending was okay..we can't expect a mind boggling ending from our Director.. Mind block song was very good and it could be a wake up call for the audience.. The climax was enjoyable..

NEGATIVES: The director of the film wastes much time in the train sequence and the misuse of the female lead..eating much time in developing characters.. Makes u drowsy if you are not a fan of superstar.. Second half was time consuming where the hero tries to cope some sense in the villian mind..usual comedy in serious scenes will create discomfort..

OVERALL VERDICT.. The film can be tried. And it certified as a festival for hard core superstar Mahesh Babu fans..!

RATING: 2.25/5

Damn director

Director isn't good. He is following the same pattern like focusing on unnecessary fun by rhyming punches which creates just temporary enjoyment. Later onwards you don't remember the fun or if you can then also you can't enjoy. And hero elevations are routine. These directors are treating people as 🐑. Audience don't consider logics. They just want some damn slow motion shots , shadow effects of hero , and in fights also they don't consider hero's personality. They just shows hero's walking. And these things are really not execusible , the dressing styles of hero as a military soldier is worst. The director should show atleast some bloody respect towards them. The only thing which will be highlighted in all Mahesh babu's movies is his running scene😆. First of all I don't like the waste director's intension towards our people.

FEAST FOR FANS.. GOOD FOR AUDIENCE

Yeah here is the most awaited film of mahesh babu.'sarileru neekevvaru' .Its a fan feast ..Just for mahesh fans as already said by director anil ravipudi. First the army sequence is quite good as all expected which should not be like allu arjun's former movie "naa peru surya".Next the train sequence....Dont go with over expectations like it will beat "Venky" movie's train scene. It was okay but not upto the level that was hyped by the director. The interval bang is perfectly good the people who want to see mass mahesh babu... It is the perfect interval scene. The second half is quite good with a couple of action scenes .And lot of drama what actually people want. And the "mind block" song its really mind blocking...what an energy from mahesh babu. His dance was really good.As usually there is a under hidden message that we usually get from Mahesh babu movies. Performance wise all are good .But there are some anil ravipudi mark dialogues which may irritate some.Especially when they were said by Mahesh babu that will irritate much. Verdict:SSMB RAMPAGE A PERFECT MASS MOVIE FOR MB

Same old telugu format

Watchable Only for mahesh babu. Villain character is not strong. No use of heroine in this film very overacting and irritating expressions. This film is just for fans not for general audience. First half is too laggy because of the useless heroine.

Fantastic movie

It's a very good movie with a fantastic storyline like other movies of mahesh babu, but performance of rashmika was very disappointing, whenever she came on the screen I was feeling bored, that's why I am giving it only 8 stars.

Yet another saviour movie

It's been a while some MB did something else other than these "save the village/state/family movies". This is yet another in the same genre. I expected there to be something worth watching. Unfortunately, there's none. The comedy is not funny, the fights are as usual. The 'hero save the family' story is historic. The songs are neither good nor catchy. The background score is repetitive.

an engaging mass entertainer

SARILERU NEEKEVVARU CAST & CREW Production: AK Entertainments, G Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt Ltd., Sri Venkateswara Creations Cast: Mahesh Babu, Rashmika Mandanna Direction: Anil Ravipudi Screenplay: Anil Ravipudi Story: Anil Ravipudi Music: Devi Sri Prasad Background score: Devi Sri Prasad Cinematography: R. Rathnavelu Dialogues: Anil Ravipudi

Sarileru Neekevvaru is an action drama directed by Anil Ravipudi that has Mahesh Babu playing the lead role. The film has an ensemble cast featuring Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, Prakash Raj as the antagonist, while Vijayashanti, Rao Ramesh, Rajendran Prasad and others play crucial supporting roles. The film is produced by Dil Raju, Anil Sunkara and Mahesh Babu himself under the banners Sri Venkateshwara Creations, AK Entertainments and G Mahesh Babu Entertainment respectively.

Mahesh Babu plays the role of Major Ajay Krishna, who is an orphan serving the Indian Army in Kashmir. His colleague, also named Ajay, gets injured in a mission and he has to go to Kurnool to convey the news to Ajay's mother Bharati (played by Vijayashanti). During the journey, he comes across Samskriti (Rashmika Mandanna) and also gets involved in a tussle with MLA Nagendra (played by a terrific Prakash Raj). How he manages to solve all these problems forms the rest of the story.

The very first scene of Sarileru Neekevvaru tells you that this is a film that is not going to take itself seriously. There's a bomb ticking and the way Ajay Krishna diffuses it tells the audience the same - leave your brains at home and enjoy the film. The film too does justice to the genre until a train sequence occurs in the first half. There was a certain hype to this sequence because of the trailer, but unfortunately it doesn't satisfy us as much as you want it to.

The sequence occupies a large portion of the first half and the screenplay gets stagnant. It not only affects the engagement but also makes you feel uneasy because of a fake rape scene. The scene looks out of place and sticks out of an otherwise convincing story. It is in this sequence where Ajay Krishna meets Samskriti. Her character's actions lack logic and becomes less enjoyable after a point of time because of its repetition.

Prakash Raj appears as a menacing villain role at the start, but as the film progresses his character become less threatening. Amidst all these issues, it is Mahesh Babu's performance that makes the film watchable. He dances, acts, fights, and more importantly delivers clean fun. He entertains you so much and that's probably the only redeeming factor. Among the supporting actors, Vijayashanti, Vennela Kishore, and Prakash Raj's performances stand out.

Ideally, had the film been treated the same as the first few minutes, it would have been a complete riot. But when it starts taking itself seriously, there is a sense of disbelief attached. The music by Devi Sri Prasad supports the film well but the placement of songs is a concern. The Sarileru Neekevvaru track gives a rousing feel and is perfectly placed, but the rest of the songs disrupt the flow.

The cinematography by Rathnavelu serves its purpose and is above par, especially during Mahesh Babu's introduction scene. On the whole, the film can be watched for Mahesh Babu's outstanding performance. A few scenes will certainly give fans the goosebumps as the fans can enjoy the Mahesh Babu's blast from the past.

Movie is only watchable with mahesh sir acting itself

Movie is wonderful and can be watched with full family while bored. little entertainer with high meaningful content in it. Movie comes with a powered army backdrop with fun elements inside. The emotional drama around a army man's family linked with mahesh sir. Little bit emotional scenes were placed perfect in the movie, the final theme of the movie is really meaningful and go through heart. Everyone need to understand and should inculcate in them if possible. The heroine comedy content was really cheap and disconnected from the story. Even the same goes with F2(low graded comedy) I guess it's director ideology fault. Without mahesh babu sir and prakash raj garu. The high up lift wouldn't been possible.

Why? Why use such star Power on story less movies?

The whole 1st half was story less comedy. The whole second half was logic less fights. You have Mahesh babu and Viajayasanthi. Could have used all that star Power for a much better movie. Heroine's character looked so cheap. Walked out of the movie before last 15mjns.

Just for laughs

The plot is nothing short of a commercial brainless entertainer. There is a full 45 minutes block of the lead actress family displaying their stupidity. But, it entertains you. There are brainless over-the-air fights that entertains some. So, it is just an entertainer with no justice to the plot (if such thing exists!!)

Ohk NICE!

The direction of Anil Ravipudi is always amazing with really nice shots. But the storyline of the movie was little weaker.Mahesh Babu known for his authentic acting skills made his fans go crazy. After so many years we could see him making perfect comedy and mass action for which people go crazy. His work towards dance is also highly appreciable. It is also unbelievable to see Vijay Shanti's performance after so many decades once she left the industry. She is perfect for her role. All other supporting actors such as Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore everyone had done great.I am little disappointed by the role of leading female actress.Yes ,she had great comedy but she is not involved in main storyline and I think that comedy is not done naturally. The story is only based on fights and comedy sequences and no real content in it . As a person watching movie, I expected a good story which will keep you engaged till last moment. Overall, the movie is good to watch once,to enjoy. At last, the hype created by the movie didn't meet the expectations of audience.
