** I'm still not sure about this whole NEW era of 3D models replacing artwork.. even though I quite like the style of Yuusuke Kozaki (Fire Emblem Awakening, for example), which these all seem to be based on.
Anyway. This movie is well-organized nonsense with a beautiful coat of paint!! From great color usage, to nice-looking clothing and suit designs, interfaces, characters, etc. Sadly, there is not much to say about the animation, action or script itself. It feels like a poor mix of Ghost in the Shell's futuristic technology, Evangelion's end of the world nonsense, and terrible monster designs and general desperation from Knights of Sidonia.
I'm sure there is a message somewhere about society or something, but it all feels force-fed, not explained well enough and not enjoyable. Confusing speeches aside, the plot is too simplistic and doesn't leave any room for creativity or imagination.. Like they didn't have fun making it. Most people won't probably like the world and lore they built. It lacks details and love in many areas. Wanted to see it, did, and now I can get over it.

Human Lost is a alright type of movie, with some neat action, but pretty unoriginal. The movie provides you will 1h 50mins of dystopian action, however it will be difficult for you to remember anything except the main plotline after a week. The movie is also quite confusing, with lots of things going on at the same time, and it would have been better if some of the storylines were cut out.
However, not everything is bad with this movie. The animation looks very slick, and the color design is very vibrant. The action and violence in this movie is also cool, with lots of cool shots. A particular good scene is the highway scene, which has very good shots combined with good animation. Like I before it is an alright movie, probably worth a watch, but not one that you will go to revisit time and time again.

Human Lost is a hodgepodge of anime tropes and concepts that shows its influences a little too clearly. It presents a complex world with ill-defined rules that is never well explained despite tons of exposition. Because of that It is difficult to go more into details of the plot. Even taken at simple entertainment value for its action scenes it is hard to recommend since the cell shaded computer animation is uneven throughout the film taking you out of the movie.
The highway scene would be one of the most entertaining part of the film if Akira didn't do it better 30 years ago. It is not a terrible film, but an easily forgettable one that might lose some viewers' attention.
