Glad I decided to watch this.

I originally played this series as an ambience and it grabbed my attention fast. It didnt seem too exciting by description and trailer, but after watching it, revealed to have more depth than just the metal boxing. Its runs as a typical prodigy-underdog to prestigious competitor, but the story behind Levius and how the other characters begin to intertwine is what make this series. Along with the dynamic steam punk world and war that is still shrouded in mystery theres alot more this series can dig into while following Levuis' progress in metal boxing and what will be revealed as the series progresses. Another review mentioned how Natalia is more of a peeve in the series which i can understand... but i found her charming and a relief in the somewhat bleak attitude other characters often have toward the sport and I believe she will have a bigger impact in the oncoming seasons.

My only gripes is how the end of season 1 was just a little over the top, and how the subtitles seem to portray the characters of having an english accent. I do wish they used english voice actors (u.k.) to better accommodate the subtitle script.

Overall, if youre into some of the other street fighting anime's on Netflix, chances are you'll like this take of an in the ring, metal boxing series, with its unraveling story and world.

Surprisingly good

Plot

A young man whose parents became casualties of war. He is taken in by his uncle Zack, and it is there that Levius begins to immerse himself in the world of metal boxing as if led by fate itself, and his innate ability for the martial art blossoms.

While I admit, I was originally put off because I didn't think the CGI looked very appling but then when I watched it I was surprised and I actually got used to it.

the dub was also decent for what it's worth.

If you like anime's which feature boxing, you might enjoy this.

Not surprised, I loved it.

I'm not going to lie.. this series is completely predictable! Yet it still manages to rise above itself and be REALLY good (specially when compared with the latest Ashita no Joe ANIME, which does everything wrong aside from having a decent intro theme beginning).

I've seen too many stories to be able to predict what will happen next.. or in a way, how I think it should be. It's a mix of experience and desire. And my "faith" here was rewarded! But that's not the only thing about ANIME or stories in general. If it was, I could easily summarize/write one myself. A real story can only come to life by the work of a lot of people, lines of dialogue, animation, design, details and beautiful moments. This series takes the core concept of evolution and interactions, and executes it the right way. It loves every piece it gives you, and respects them accordingly. There are no wasted moments, or characters.. everything exists for a reason. And it builds upon itself.. like a reverse pyramid! It takes you higher and makes your blood pump.

It is not perfect. I would only criticize the character of Natalia, which feels too annoying and generic at times.. like it doesn't belong.

And I'm afraid of where it may go moving forward.. but as it is, I'm glad to say it wasn't a waste of my time like almost everything else new that's come before it.

Happy that Netflix is focusing on combat sports based content

After baki, kengan ashura this is one another anime I've binge watched. The storyline was awesome and there's room for story to progress further.I wish hajime no Ippo got renewed.

CGI-Anime that is very good.

It tells the story of young Levius, who lost an arm in the war. Equipped with a metal prosthesis, he now begins a career as a boxer.

Like every CGI anime, "Levius" takes some getting used to.

But after getting used to the animation, an interesting story with exciting boxing matches and interesting characters awaits you.

The anime is reminiscent of Megalo Box, but I'll be the last to complain about more action-packed mecha boxing matches.

Don't expect a masterpiece, but "Levius" with its 12 episodes is a good anime for in between.

I have even read that another season is planned, but I don't want to get hyped to early.

Solid "Steampunk" offering.

If nothing else it's an interesting and more believable take on a fighting Anime than most others I've read about / seen.

Basing everything around a real world sport, without any wacky monster fighting or weird unexplainable "Supers"/Creatures it creates a engaging narrative that's worth watching.

It of course falls back on a few classic tropes, but like the car chase in action films, they are almost mandatory as this point.

Its a great series. Im looking forward to more!

The plot is about a young man that box in search of something. The boxing is changed however, they use cybernetic enhancement. It is a great series so far, I've only seen 12 episodes. I am very much looking forward to more!

Incredible!

This was really good... just jump in and go for it! Odds are you won't stop until you finish the 12th episode! Comedy, Action, Heart, Animation quality, everything you could want in a old fashion war era with advanced robotics.

As strong as the fighters are that we see, I'm eager to see what the contestants will be like in the following seasons.

Worth the watch

I went in with low expectations but this unique sci-fi sport anime in a post war world managed to grab my attention and not let go. I binged it all in 2 days. I want at least 2 more seasons of this show.

Levius Packs a Punch that Will Knock Your Socks Off!

As a huge movie and TV buff, I thought I had seen it all when it comes to the animation world, but boy, was I wrong! Levius, the steampunk-style sports anime, is an uppercut straight to the jaw of my expectations! I'm not a huge sports fan, but this anime made me feel like I was in the ringside seats, experiencing every blow, dodge, and counter!

Set in a world where war has left its scars and mechanical limbs are the norm, the sport of "Metal Boxing" is both a form of escapism and a means to redemption for our young protagonist, Levius Cromwell. He's the classic underdog - the kind of character you can't help but root for. His journey to the top is more than just a physical one; he fights to heal his emotional wounds too.

The animation is absolutely mesmerizing, with detailed designs that truly bring the steampunk world to life. The fight scenes are where the anime truly shines - each punch, kick, and technique is beautifully animated, making it hard to look away. The soundtrack is the perfect accompaniment to the visuals, pumping you up for every match and immersing you in the emotions of the characters.

Now, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. The pacing, especially in the first few episodes, can be a tad slow, and it takes time for the story to find its footing. But once it gets going, it's like a runaway train you can't help but hop on!

In the end, Levius is a fantastic blend of action, drama, and heart that reminds us how fighting for something we believe in can change our lives. If you're a fan of anime like Megalo Box or even just a fan of sports anime in general, do yourself a favor and give Levius a watch. It's a knockout experience you won't forget!
