It was a nice evening to watch after a day of business and all kinds of people. The writer was also witty. The humor was great. The actors were great and it seemed like they enjoyed their work. And the romance in this movie suited me perfectly. General Li and his lady of the heart, who ran a tavern and an inn, were especially cute. Zhang Xin Yuan and Herman Li. And the best thing - the men didn't have such make-up that you couldn't tell who they were. It probably wasn't the biggest budget film - but it was much nicer than the wuxia and xianxia style films with overly made-up heroes and creepy mouse-voiced heroines. Since historical Chinese films are great entertainment for me, I was happy to watch. A little sparkling wine and strawberries on the side and it works. It's just a shame that I haven't seen more of my favorites acting in this film. Significantly better than some of the so-called big stars. More beautiful too....
