I'm so relieved, All That is back as a Revival Series with a New Season, and the New Kids of Comedy are very Funny and Attractive, just like the Old Casts. Especially Kel, Josh, Lori, and Kenan RETURN FROM ANOTHER WORLD!!!!
This show is just terrible. Like it's god awful. All it is are parodies and they aren't funny. None of the cast is funny at all. It's just terrible. Now yes, it's made for kids. But I'm pretty sure this is actually for everyone. And if all of your audience aren't liking it. There's a problem. I would go into this more. But I want to make a video on this.
As a 29 year old I Grew up watching the original and really liked it a lot and was interested to see how well the reboot was going to be. With Kennan Thompson being an executive producer and a few other original cast members getting involved and showing the new kids the ropes and giving them tips I'd say show is gonna do well.
The fact is the target audience for the show isn't the 30-40 year olds that grew up with the original. It's for kids and they are going to do sketches aimed at kids. We have SNL for us adults.
People need to give these kids time. It's likely their first acting job much like how many of the original casts first acting job was all that and don't put the blame on what the writers wrote for the Sketch. The kids are in good hands and with time they will grow and be successful. V

As with all revivals, they always have to work extra hard to live up to the original. That's the simple truth. Nostalgia may play a factor, but the reality is that the original series featured many fully original sketches. Most of those sketches either launched successful spin-off shows or carriers for the actors.
In contrast, the 2019 revival lacks that original sketch content. Instead, they rely on trends and parodies of already existing shows and impersonations of real life people. Parodies are not bad things on their own. Well done parodies are hilarious. However, original writing is a must if this revival wants to survive past its first season. If this revival intends to rely only on parodies, it will struggle to last for a long run. This will be the case because these sketches are going to be time sensitive and fail to draw an audience after a very short period of time. The original relied on creating its own characters and situations that lends itself to a timeless feel. This new series is sadly only relying on trends. Since trends only last for a very short period of time, this is a situation of short term gain, long term loss. The new series won't be memorable and last long if the choice of sketch content doesn't change.
As for the new actors, I imagine that this is probably most of these kids first major shows to be working on. It's clear that they weren't very comfortable in their roles and positions. Hopefully, they will get more comfortable with time, but the initial acting was stiff and lacked believability and fluidity, both in opening sequence and in the actual sketches.

90% is just parodies of already existing people and shows. Why do they think impersonating idols is funny and good content? People can create good content that's original and not just mock parodies. Easter eggs would be great but not a full skits that are parodies of popular icons/shows like the Masked Singer or something and have the Beyoncé "I'm Beyoncé look at me I'm Beyoncé is that singer me Beyoncé?" annoyance as a judge. There is no way those actors are going to grow as actors if they impersonate already existing people
Seriously. Remove the annoying parodies and the show would be great. Create only original content and people would love it. It's not hard to come up with original silly content for an already silly fun show.
