Not that bad, but too many buildup moments.

This movie was not that bad. However, there was way too many buildup moments where you're just waiting for a crucial piece of information to be revealed... and then immediately afterwards there's another buildup moment. So instead of building up tension, it just leaves me feeling impatient.

Not too bad as tv movies go.

The "time capsule" is two bunt cake tins. They didn't even bother to weld on some hinges. I literally made this account to whinge about this. Bloody lazy.

Some of the acting is good, some okay and some awful. Standard TV movie stuff. The directing and storyline are mediocre. Again standard TV movie stuff.

Story in there somewhere

Sadly there is a story in there but it lost due the bad zooming in and out filming style and the awful sound.

Different producer or director and a bit of cash could have been a good movie.

Boring

This was so boring yet annoying. The girl doesn't speak for almost the entire film, she just walks around sulking with her head down like samara from the ring. The mother was annoying and the girl I didn't even care about. We discover the whole thing could have been avoided had the girl not stuck her nose into other people affairs.

Yikes

That beginning scene where Samaire Armstrong is trying to sell a upset mom desperate to find her daughter... that was painful to watch. She needs to lay off the Botox and pay for some acting lessons.

Horrible

This was the absolute worse movie I have ever seen. The acting was so bad I got a migraine. Unless you are really into bad acting films I can't see why anyone would watch this.

B O R I N G

I'm not finished watching this movie as of this review but I am going to finish because I want to see if my theory is correct. However it is so stupid. The parents in this movie are especially annoying; I don't know if it's the character development or bad acting. It's infuriating that they're both idiots. I GET denial, wanting to be in control & wanting to protect a child but these characters UGH .. again STUPID. Even if the characters are pretending to be idiots it's still annoying.

Terrible

One of the worst movies I've seen. Acting was horrible. Storyline could have been interesting but I couldn't get past the acting. Katie not speaking really bugged me. Not worth the time I spent

Yawn

Samaire Armstrong once again showing us that she just can't act to save her life. What a pile of hot garbage this film is.

Left the most interesting bit out

When a child turns up 5 years later after going missing you really want to know what happened to her, where she was kept, how she was never found, how she got away, etc. But no, that is never disclosed.

The ongoing story was totally unbelievable. The parents were clueless as to how to make a child feel safe after such an ordeal and the acting was, as most have said, terrible.

Just leaves you wondering why you wasted time watching it when there is so much better out there. Bad as it was, I still wanted to know what happened in the end but given the circumstances even that was very disappointing.

Screaming at the TV

Yay! Katie's home.

This whole film was stupid. She walks in the house - not a spoiler: a) it's in the first 5 minutes b) it's in the trailer c) it's the plot of the movie -- obviously traumatized, but the mother kept hanging on her. I get it; she was afraid her daughter was dead and was so happy to see her alive. At the front door. But Katie was seriously in shock. Btw, Sierra McCormick's acting as Katie was good. She had so little to work with but she did well with what she had. And I feel like I kept yelling at the screen for Janet to stop touching Katie. And the brilliant therapist starts the first session with can you tell me who took you. Really? First question out of the gate is that?! Ugh. Whoever wrote this has not seen real trauma up close. I'm grateful they've missed it, but dang it showed in this

My main complaints are the direction given and stupidity of the plot. Save us from Lifetime Movies!

Twists for a twists

Idk why ppl saying this movie is bad. This movie genuinely had me on edge and practically screaming once things began to get revealed. I like how the movie kept things on topic and suspenseful. From theorizing who the kidnapper was, to what the motives were, to actually done it, all of it had me surprised and completely shocked in the best way possible. Any fans of mysteries, horror, crime movies, investigation type movies etc etc will absolutely ADORE this piece. It requires you to really pay attention and think deep. I also like how at the end there was still a few minor unanswered questions. Not anything that's unbearable, but something to leave you thinking. 10/10.
