What worked: So why is this movie a needed art of cinema for Bollywood at this phase of their filmmaking? It's undeniably the team that held this movie together as a fragment of an epitome what's a fine movie relevant to the time and situation. It's one of those very rare movies with an almost complete team. The team deserves an applaud, first and foremost the director/ writer Seema. It's an extraordinary piece of work, very well written and directed. Another applause goes to the music team, and Sagar needs more acclaim and deserves to produce some more work. Another uniqueness of the movie is the cinematography and the use of camera; not so much a lens but a medium to convey the family. It's done quiet cleverly for the most part. And of course the cast, it's a treat to see such fine actors in a project like this. It's very pleasant to see such a beautiful narrative being conveyed with the authenticity and rawness. The movie felt like it has captured the real series of events happening in a home, with much more clarity and sincerity, making it one of the best movie of the year. Like we sometimes say, it's a journey not a reel, and it does makes the viewers feel the touch that it promises to deliver. One of the best things of the movie is the screenplay that's not tilted to help us take our sides but just presenting it the way in a more real and bitter manner rather than just making it a predictable dilemma.

What did not work: Of course some distractions could have been cut down or eliminated, only keeping the ones that conveyed the narrative because there is so much going on in the movie.

Final verdict: highly recommended.

This is what film making is. You don't realize you are watching a cinema but it's like you are somewhere there in the whole scene and watching a family politics in front of you. Extremely natural movie and the execution is just superb.

RamPrasad Ki Terahvi is actually a story of RamPRasad who dies after a cardiac arrest and then whole family comes together for Tehravi. Slowly the differences in the family starts unfolding and family politics happens.

Performance wise its all in all excellent show. Very hard to pick one from the starcast. To be really frank, this is the showcase of acting talents of veteran actors. All of them are super convincing and its like you are watching some person from your family or from your neighborhood.

Seema Pahwa has done an excellent job directing this beautiful piece of cinema. Second half of the movie may have been taken some of the relationships bit too far but it's not something we haven't witnessed in our society.

Pure humor and an example of what a good script, performance and making good cinema is all about.

Fantastic movie. Very subtle and minimal. Superb casting, superb direction and unique storyline.

Its a story which every middle class family with dozen of cousins will relate. The movies like this surely needs to be appreciated which sadly will never happen. Where big shot lazy directors and their plastic nepo products are busy making ugly crap remakes, this movie will surely come as a fresh breeze which make you feel that such concept and talent really needs to be in demand atleast once in a month.
