Shashi Tharoor has some serious sense of humor. His performance was the best out of the 5 celebrity performers. Bhuvan Bam's performance is at number 2 and then comes Taapsee Pannu's. Vishal Dadlani's was the worst. He forgot his lines multiple times and was using foul languages in every sentence, making it a vulgar comedy.

Bhuvan Bam and shashi Tharoor were really good, but remaining 3 episodes are waste of time. Not just the guest even the comedian is below average in terms of performance.vishal episode is a disaster.

Other than being funny, what struck me the most is to see celebrities being vulnerable and scared. We got to see them in a natural habitat, instead of how they're portrayed even in social media interviews. This show is definitely worth watching to witness that aspect alone.

The idea got me interested, and the people in it got me to watch it. These weren't professional comedians, and as far as first standups go,the sets were delightful. I liked the balance of training, writing and performances inside the episodes. The cast was well balanced as well, in my opinion - a youtuber, two actresses, a musician and a politician. I'd watch more if they made them. Too bad it's on behind a paywall: I would love to see more on youtube and such.
Kunal Kamra's posture needs some serious work ffs.

I have watched few episodes including Bhutan bam and Shashi tharoor one. It's a good attempt to show that stand-up comedy is not a cakewalk and it needs a lot of preparation and I loved to watch how people from other verticals tried it out. It's not hilarious every time but decent job by everyone.. Good concept, would be looking forward for second season.

Amazon Prime has been instrumental in bringing the stand-up comedy scene in India to every home in a big way - first with the stand-up specials, then with 2 seasons of Comicstaan and now with One Mic Stand. It just takes the reality factor from Comicstaan one step further by getting in non-comedians and non-aspiring comedians to try their hands at stand-up for the very first time.
They have kept the reality factor on the show 'real' and not made it medodramatic. The performer in every episode seems genuinely nervous yet not dramatized to cinematic effect. The host and creator of the show Sapan Varma comes across as easy-going and charming. The celebrity guests are largely selected on the basis that they are popular to some extent in social media or viral videos, lending themselves organically to controversy or comedy or both.
From the celebrity guests the first and last - Bhuvan Bam and Shashi Tharoor - are the best! Others do well as per their individual capabilities. The stand-up acts are kept short with around 4-5 minute performance. Other than that each episode comprises of an individual act by the guest mentor and Sapan Varma plus the mentoring sessions.
These are my individual ratings for each celebrity guest. Bhuvan Bam - 4/5 Taapsee Pannu - 3/5 Richa Chadha - 3.5/5 Vishal Dadlani - 3.5/5 Shashi Tharoor - 4/5
These are my individual ratings for the mentors' performances on the show Zakir Khan - 4/5 Angad Singh Ranyal - 4/5 Ashish Shakhya - 3/5 Rohan Joshi - 2/5 Kunal Kamra - 3/5

Bogus and not funny. Don't waste your precious time on this banal show. There are much better shows out there.

OMS is a great and fresh concept that is also damn funny. It speaks to the audience by being real and exposing the process that goes on behind the scenes and is a welcome step. The show by Vishal Dadlani was extremely cool for bringing about an uncomfortable topic, something we don't generally engage with. The shows by Taapsee and Richa Chadha were weak as stand up performances while the ones by Bhuvan Bam and Vishal Dadlani were great. Getting in Kamra in the end was really funny (as a set) but very predictable with Shashi Tharoor being the main act. BUT Shashi Tharoor rocked the stage - nailed it completely.
Sapan was great as always but the show lacked punch, in general.

The whole season is so painful to watch. Bhuvan and Tharoor were the only performers that gave some chuckles. Rest were so bland and mediocre that you'll end up doing different activities while watching this. The audience were served alcohol during performances to ensure laughing continues.

This series tells us about what it is to be a stand up comedian. I liked watching this show because I came to know about the different side of our beloved youtubers, actors and composers and their effort to be a stand up comedian. Thos show gives the respect and fame what an stand up artist should get and lovely watching them performing out of their comfort zone.

Hiring Kunal Kamra to groom Tharoor for a stand up!!! It cant get more liberal than this. This special from AP is thorough snore fest. No one is convincing as a stand up except Bhuvan Bam.

I wasn't particularly keen to watch One MIC Stand when it appeared on Amazon Prime, until I read elsewhere about Shashi Tharoor's participation. So I watched just the Tharoor episode initially, which was indeed quite entertaining besides the novelty factor of featuring a popular politician .
I did not intend to watch the remaining episodes until someone mentioned that they were all quite good, so last night I watched the lot.
Bhuvan Bam's episode was the best after Tharoors, followed by Tapsee and Richa.
Vishal Dadlani spoilt his episode by using F F F F F in just about every sentence, this really was not necessary and certainly detracted from any humourous quotient. I wonder if he can speak a single natural unscripted sentence without recourse to F. In Indian Idol, he manages to refrain :-)
Overall, One MIC Stand is fairly good fun and definitely watchable.

Or up someone's ass, there is absolutely no comedy. A bunch of flop actors and comedians not even trying to do comedy. I'd have called them a bunch of Jokers but they don't even deserve that. Your time is more valuable than Amazon's money. Save yourself from the torture.

Faye D'Souza is pathetic. It was a real pain to watch that episode.
She was clearly stating her agenda under the cover of comedy which I think should not be the intend of the show.

Loved every set except Raftaar. He was way too overconfident and completely unfunny. Needs to come down on earth. Sunny, Chetan, Faye and Karan were just amazing. And the mentors were fabulous. Not to forget Sapan is a great comic himself and a great host.

With flop comedians like KUNAL KAMRA & SAPAN VERMA , this comedy show is a blunder ,please don't watch this to waste your time.even saying it a comedy is an INSULT of comedy.

Good show. Great concept. Sapan is a damn good host, presenter. Even the guests perform well. But in the second season, pata chalta hai ki audience mein juniors baithe hai. Clapping without even smiling, clapping in sync... Sometimes one forgets to clap, and all of a sudden joins others. I mean, its a tv show after all so its okay, but just get better juniors. They are quite distracting. But haa, show acha hai!

Fresh new concept with celebs trying out stand up comedy. Would love to see Richa Chadda and Shashi Tharoor do a longer stand up. It's like a mini series because it has only 5 episodes, half an hour each

Let's see what it says:
"India's biggest actors, politicians, musicians and influencers are trained by top comedians to perform stand-up comedy for their very first time."
>Biggest actors, politicians, musicians and influencers
Basically the biggest losers in their respective fields trying to stay relevant.
> Top comedians
Yeah, sure, if you can laugh at them on account of being as pathetic as they are trying to still matter.
If I remember correctly, one of these "top comedians" level of comedy was making a joke on a minister's appearance when his own face looks as if hair from below the equator has been manually attached to his head with a rather poor show of workmanship.
Watch for the luls if you want to see a bunch of rejects trying to sound funny. It can be considered comedy under the "so bad it's good" category, I suppose.
