Bubble Guppies is a show that my non-verbal big brother (who I will not name) loves for some reason. I used to hate it at first, but it grew on me.
First the characters, these characters may be plot devices but they have "some" charm. My favorite is Nonny because he is the most relatable to me: Shy, Smart, and even autistic.
It's very simple yet memorable formula makes it very fun to watch and due to its fast pace, it feels like watching a bunch of episodes in one about a simple topic. I also LOVE the songs, they have some very catchy songs and I love nearly every one.
But let's now get into the flaws. The characters aren't that memorable and I despise every Molly and Gil skit. In the first 4 seasons, every episode would have 4 skits where Gil tries to do something, fails, and gets tortured. I like the idea, but it never gets executed well as Gil never deserves his punishment and Molly just laughs at him when he IS ABOUT TO KILLED IN SOME EPISODES. I know Gil can't die, but still, show a little concern Molly. Yeah these happen FOUR times each episode.
Seasons 5-6 are just bad, Zooli (what is that name)? Is very bland for a new character, the characters have been reduced to plot devices, and the "villains" suck. These seasons just copy Backyardigans.
Overall, a good show but it has flaws.

I have two boys, ages 3 and 4. They love Bubble Guppies! It is another educational preschool show for Nickelodeon that is set in an underwater preschool. The "Bubble Guppies", a group of six young merpeople, attend a school taught by the patient and kind Mr. Grouper. The kids act like typical preschoolers - they ask a lot of questions and show natural curiosity about the world around them. Filled with musical numbers, imaginative play, and observation of their environment, the kids learn about topics such as bones/treatment by doctors, the solar system, colors, music, industries such as restaurants and construction, and so much more. The show, although set in a fantasy setting, reflects well on kids' natural tendency and desire to learn, as well as social interactions. The kids are adorable and likable, with unique and multicultural character designs. My sons watch Bubble Guppies every day, and this is one show that even parents can stand to watch!

I'm gonna ignore any educational aspects of this show and am just going to describe my experience with in this review.
Back when I was younger, and in the target audience of this show, I watched it because I liked the idea of a show with the characters as merpeople underwater. The problem is that they don't really do anything with it. Except for maybe a few scenes there is no reason why the characters are part fish. I remember marathoning this show looking for an episode where they did something interesting with the environment. I eventually stopped because I got annoyed that every episode is the same thing. I get that this show is the type that tends to have very similar set ups for every episode, but there are almost no variations in the set ups. Maybe in the newer seasons (at the time I watched this there were maybe two seasons) they change it up, but from what I remember every episode was beat-for-beat the same time. I will never understand how some kids don't get bored when every episode of a show is the same thing over and over.

the characters of this show are the best and well created of this TV show. the voice acting is pretty good for the first time, but it's acceptable for me. the episodes are, without a doubt, outstandingly best and the most valuable production of this show whatsoever. Nickelodeon, because of your outstanding episode writing and the outstandingly best graphics i have ever enjoyed, i would like to see the whole bubble guppies characters in 2D because you are the most valuable studio production company i have ever watched in my whole life. you made some great shows such as Spongebob, fairly odd parents, Rugrats, all that, avatar the last Airbender, Drake and Josh, invader Zim, and Danny phantom. the moments are the greatest and funny in this show. I recommend this show to preschoolers and other kids to try out. Nickelodeon, please let the bubble guppies shine in until 2016.

The main reason I hate this show is the treatment Nonny gets... I mean, the characters felt likeable until I realised that, most Guppies here act like bullies... I refuse to like such characters, show Nonny some respect. He's clearly autistic and it isn't OK to attack autistic people.

The one kid with glasses is clearly autistic he comes off as that and his parents on the show during lunch time are always giving him just weird that seems like his parents don't care about him, his friends laugh at him for his parents lunch they give him.. I am surprised so many people enjoy this show.. I guess alot of people think its okay to attack autistic people too.

The songs are so good. I mean an adult like me even enjoys it. The song's are amazing. I'm impressed on how they can write two songs in one episodes. I love what they teach to kids. The stuff they teach us is good. But I just don't like when it comes to story time. Like my son who's around like 5 years old even doesn't like storytime because it's always the same pattern. Here's the pattern. 'Oh no he's gonna do something bad to us' ' runs away' ' the scary thing confronts them and tell them why he's not a harm and how he had a good reason to it'. Still it's just the same old same old. I hate it. But the educational stuff is okay too.

While the entertainment and spoken education is okay... The Dynamics of mermaid children underwater completely ignore the laws of physics and reality. So it undermines its own education in a way. I find myself more often than not, having to explain to my daughter why rhinos don't normally have fins or that dogs cannot breathe in water... If you don't care about these details then I'm sure you'll like it. But I can't...

If you want to show your kids a great show that's both very educational and very entertaining, it should definitely be Bubble Guppies. I'm almost going to college and even I like it. Why? Because in my opinion, everything is done perfect. The characters are perfect (both the main and the side ones), the animation is perfect, and the songs are perfect. The characters are just great. They're all very unique and you remember what each of them looks like and what they do. The animation is just beautiful to look at, especially in season 2 and currently season 3. The songs are by far the best elements of the show. The songs discuss what the topic of the episode is and they are memorable. The beat and the lyrics are just so great that I know almost every song. As you can see, I'm just crazy about this show. So if you have kids or your kids have kids, persuade them to watch Bubble Guppies. You and they won't regret it.

It's nice I like the characters the segments & the comedy but there is a problem the lack of character development for the other students besides molly & Gill. It's sad because we barely get to see episodes about them. & the villains in the story parts are pretty so oh so sorry

The songs are catchy. They teach lessons that I love. They have captivating storylines ( for a child) and it's not cringeworthy like all other lame cartoons. My daughter is now 6 but we still catch a bubble guppie on and watch it and sing the songs! When I heard it was canceled I was upset. I hope they continue to make more episodes.

I watched this show for the first time today with my 4 year old. Clearly, the show takes place in the ocean. In this episode there are sea creatures having a baseball game, but they can't play because it's raining and the game may be canceled. Everyone associated with this show should be ashamed of themselves for contributing to the ignorance of children.

I freakin' love this cartoon. It's not just one of my favorite cartoon shows or one of my favorite Nickelodeon/Nick Jr. shows, it's one of my favorite shows period. It's well written, well acted, well animated, just...well everything! The characters are very memorable and likable so that you remember what they look like and what they do. The animation is really top notch and looks beautiful. The songs are easily the best I've ever heard. They are fun to listen to and you want to know what the lyrics are so that you can sing along. I'm pretty much college aged and I love this show so much. Most people would call this a guilty pleasure, but I don't. This is definitely a pleasure, but I have nothing to feel guilty about.

I have been watching this show for more than 5 years and it was great, lessons we're good, the guppies look good but the fishes, snails, crabs, & look cute, the animation is good, however I don't really like the character designs for the students they looks like the rugrats for their large cheeks. Not special but it should be for the target audience, also after watching this show I liked it more than Spongebob

Not since Charles Schultz's Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang have we seen an animated ensemble with such range and heart.
1. Unique and easily identifiable personalities: Whether it's the eccentric Deema...sensitive Oona...or the Linus-like Nonny...the Bubble Guppies' range of personalities make it easy for many types of kids to identify with them.
2. Musical Soundscape: If you thought the Peanuts' signature songs were catchy (and Vince Guaraldi's timeless themes certainly are), you will be pleasantly surprised by the breadth of songs in the Guppy shows. Upbeat pop tunes...a teacher that raps...with occasional forays into country, rock, Mexican, and Italian genre's all creates a vibrant background for the Guppies' adventures. Catchy lyrics like,"...without my bones I'd be like gelatin - thank goodness for my skeleton!" are fun for even adults to sing.
3. Adult Interaction: Whereas the Peanuts crew were largely set apart from the adult world, the Guppies have constant, positive (though not patronizing) contact with adults in their adventures. Their teacher, Mr. Grouper, is never condescending and always encourages them to "think about it."
4. Top-notch Animation: The computer graphic-generated characters and seascapes can do things like defocusing backgrounds to emphasize characters or an object. Incredible pallettes of colors keep a toddler's attention!
5. Modern themes: From recycling to pet adoption and responsibility, each Guppy show is packed with lots of learning. They explore teamwork in numerous episodes and the value of diversity is constantly reinforced by the multicultural ensemble.
6. Exposure to new experiences: As well as having the Guppies' best song (Bunch of Bones)the "Call a Clambulance" episode also deals with the scary event of being hurt, going to the hospital and getting an X-ray. They even make up a cute song about going for a checkup and explain, in their typical upbeat frankness, that though shots DO hurt, they keep us from getting sick. Sticky topic, well-handled by this honest and happy troupe! I think Charles Schultz would approve!

I have a very weird history with this show. All because my big brother loves this show in fact it's the only show he watches.
It started on 2012 where my parents introduced him to the show and he loved it. I used to hate this show, saying stuff like that's my big brother's show! But I eventually loved this tv series calling it very underrated.
I literally watch the first episode 100 times. I like how they should that it's ok to be different based off designs. It's a great show for preschoolers. I'm glad to the brim that it got a revival as my big brother would freak out. It's my second fav preschool show behind bluey.

Though I am still a new mother, I am a television aficionado and this is the best kids show (maybe ever). Most of the songs are fun and catchy, you'll find yourself singing them as well. My one-year-old twins can watch this show all day and laugh and get excited during each episode. Unlike other shows for children that make an adult insane from just hearing it from the next room, this show that stays fun and fresh. The characters are likable and lovable; their adventures are creative and imaginative. Plus, there is an educational aspect most episodes. Honestly, I can't believe this show isn't more popular. Let's start a campaign to spread awareness about the awesomeness of this show so everyone can share the joy it brings. If you don't like it, then there's something wrong with you (And I think you know it...but hey, you can change).

The music in this show blows my mind! Almost every song is truly crafted as a song. The content is incredible and the production is second to none. I watch this daily with my daughter and we listen to the playlist daily. It's simply the best children's programming ever. We love bluey but the guppies are supreme. Thank you so much for creating this.

When I was a baby, This was my favorite show along Pocoyo, Ni Hao, Kai Lan and Etc. I used to watch this with my mom when I was baby. But now I am 13, And I still watch it sometimes, I started watching it when came out and I rewatched it in November 2022. And to this day, I love the animation, the songs are excellent, the characters are very cute, My favorite character is Gil, he's very cute and funny in my opinion, But its sad that this show is coming to an end soon, I wish the show would continue a bit longer, This is still one of my favorite shows. Also one of my favorite shows on Nick Jr..
