Chota Mumbai

The re-release of Chotta Mumbai was something I looked forward to, given how the film perfectly embodies a celebratory vibe, with a cliche-breaking screenplay, vibeworthy songs, and a fantastic bunch of performers doing their chill-best. The film still looks and feels fresh, with the antics of Thala and his buds sending the audience into enjoyable hysteria. Sure, there are some politically incorrect jokes and situations, as well as jerky camera movements (a specialty of the time), and clunky edits. However, Anwar Rasheed's staging of scenes still deserves a lot of praise. He made some solid THEATRICAL ENTERTAINERS in those times. Watching this in a packed theater 18 years later brings both the nostalgia and the goosebumps. Full funnn!

Me being a LAL fan saw this movie in the opening week itself.. its after a long that Mohanlal returns to do an exclusive comic role.he gives his best as usual.. The storyline is average but the best thing about this movie is its star cast which is really huge. great performances by Saikumar,Kalabhavan Mani and Siddique .These three have once again proved that they can do any role with perfection. And not to mention Jagathysreekumar and Biju Kuttan Cameos are well managed too...there is Kochin Haneefa and guess who...SHAKEELA but I'm disappointed in Indrajiths role....it was under written as he had very short time.. Bhavana was once again good....but I am afraid she is getting type-casted.

its an overall a good popcorn movie.Not a master piece but still entertaining my rating 7.5/10
