Mata que Dios perdona

This is the kind of movie that will compel you to go away and do something "better" but if you are like me, and from time to time give a chance to a movie that "seems" to be irrelevant, you won't be disappointed. This film proves that it's unnecessary to spend millions of dollars on FX or world known actors, directors, or sets; this is a good movie because it delivers a good story and an unexpected ending, with a simple murder that hasn't been committed. Most of the time I find sex scenes in a movie stupid, why? Because in these times of internet and else, there's pretty much nothing hidden under the sun, but the ending couldn't have been delivered without sex. By now you know this is a movie that you won't watch with the whole family, this is a movie that I will set in my collection next to Fargo, In Cold Blood, blood simple, and pulp fiction. The plot is so well crafted that you may need to watch it twice, to tie everything in the perfect way… I can't wait till Hollywood finds this little jewel and messes it up with a USA remake, yeah, I should have mentioned before, that this is a Cuban movie… Synopsis: "On January 8, 1959, in an amazingly empty city, a lender or loan shark is looking for Miguel, trying above all to protect the fragile honor to his business. Miguel leaves probably to die, but a young woman finds him first, without suspecting that the last attack of carnal vanity of this man will turn her into a prisoner for twenty-four hours of an unbridgeable and stormy situation."
