The Damned

Don't listen to these other reviewers. They've completely exaggerated the movie. It's really not that bad. It's actually a decent little flick. I thought the music was great. Reminds me of old '80s punk like 45 grave, only with a dude singing. But as far as the movie goes, I think anyone who trashes it are taking themselves and this movie way too seriously. The truth is there are TONS of worse movies out there, some of them even making it to theaters. And in my opinion, it was decent. It had me entertained. Besides the music, it had some good make- up effects (I don't know what movie that foreign dude saw, 'cause there's no masks worn in the movie at all. It was all make-up) and plenty of blood. And I thought all the vampires did really good. Was it the greatest horror movie? No. But it was cool for a low budgeted horror movie. I gave it a 10 'cause these other reviewers are just being haters. I'd say, watch it and enjoy it and then form your own opinion. But me, I liked it and I've seen more horror movies (good and bad) to know what I'm talking about.

This has got to be the worst movie I have ever seen. It has the acting and production quality of a low budget porn, but without any sex to make it worth watching.

You won't believe it. It could be filmed in your living room by a bunch of high school kids. The vampire scenes use obviously fake blood and the actors read their lines with all the realism and personality of Al Gore.

The plot is unbelievable and left me laughing at every turn. Maybe Saturday Night Live could have put together a vampire spook like this, but unfortunately these guys were serious.

I have no idea how this piece of sh*t managed to find distribution.And i'm angry it ended up being a rental.I wish that I watched the trailer first because then I would have realized how bad this b-movie was and would have saved money.I am so sick of renting movies that have interesting cover art and claim to be something they are not.I swear to Christ they probably paid more for the cover art than the movie itself just to deceive people.I turned it off after going from chapter to chapter because it kept getting worse!I wasn't gonna waste any time on this garbage.The acting was atrocious and the special effects were laughable.I can't believe there is anyone out there who actually likes these types of moronic and tasteless movies. It should be a crime to make something this lame and to use vampirism as it's plot.

I took the advice of the previous reviewer that gave the movie a 10. All I can really say is that I want 2 kilos of whatever this guy is on. The special affects, okay, it was low budget, so do not take FX into account. The acting, stiff and shallow at BEST! The characters had no depth, the actors put no feeling into their parts, it seemed as if they were just reading the scripts. The same could have been done by a few people sitting around a living room one night with no scenery, FX, etc. Maybe the storyline was fair, reminds me of some low budget flicks from the 60's. I did like the punk soundtrack, it fit the subject matter. I wanted to give the movie a 1, but, hey, at least they tried to make a movie. All in all, it MIGHT be worth seeing if there were no other movies around or at the store. Not the best movie, certainly not the worst. As I said before, at least somebody tried to make a movie.

The Damned (2006)is about a pack of vampires who move from town to town looking for new places to feed upon. They decide to hang out in the hood and prey upon it's denizens. A nosy young dude sees the pack on the prowl and freaks out. After he dispatches one of the "undead" he's scared out of his mind a looks for anyone who'll not only believe him but help him against the vamp pack. Can the young dude find anyone who'll help him out against the undead neighbors?

A fun short film that could have been better but it's alright. If you like these kind of DTV films then you'll enjoy this one. Don't expect any kind of monsterpiece. Watch for Todd Bridges in a guest starring role.
