Jason O'Mara and Kyle McLachlan are two good actors and the premise sounds interesting. Unfortunately, the show looks like a sitcom.
Was it shot on video? It sure looked like it.
In any case, that and the sitcom-style 5-second main title and what I read on this site which made it sound like the music was a pretext for the promotion of young artists and they lost me quickly.
It looks like it's doing badly in the ratings, which is not surprising.
It won't be a big loss and hopefully everyone will forget that McLachlan and O'Mara were even involved in it and they will get bigger and better opportunities elsewhere.

I have seen all the episodes since Feb 17th, and I thought this series was great. This is not a stereotypical series that promotes and idealizes the justice system. Although our justice system was created with the best of intentions, there is room for error, just like everything else. Nothing is perfect and this series shows those imperfections that can happen within our justice system. It makes the public think. I also liked the fact that not every episode has a happily ever after, that just because someone is innocent, they go free. That is real life. Sometimes innocent people go to jail. Anyway, this series showed what the jury believed and then try to disprove it because they believe the person in prison is innocent. Although the acting wasn't always the greatest, I thought the premise was excellent.

The best new series to come out of the US since 'The West Wing', and it gets cancelled immediately! The story lines are universally intelligent and thought-provoking and the characters multi-dimensional; what's more, the assembled talent of the cast is so beautifully balanced on the knife-edge between serious and comic that the show is constantly throwing up surprises. In short, there's nothing at all predictable about it, which is a joy in itself.
It's also a pleasure to have good strong female characters (Brianna, Sonia and Charlotte) and the occasional weak male (John). There's a whole lot more I would have liked to learn about these people, and I feel cheated of the chance to watch them develop and interact further. Let's hope a DVD release will not be too far away.

Here's a well done crime drama that focuses not on the primary victims of crime but on the secondary victims, those wrongly convicted. Jason O'Mara's emotionally driven investigative personality is what drives the show but Kyle MacLachlan's gonzo rich lawyer headline seeking eccentric character makes the show work. There are only two actors who could do this part and spin an entire show, Kyle MacLachlan and Oliver Platt. Either one is perfect casting. Not only do we get a tightly focused message here, we get a tightly focused message that's also very entertaining. The stories are easy to wrap your head around because they all begin with the ultimate underdog, someone who's situation appears hopeless. Who can't root for an underdog? IN JUSTICE is not just another crime drama, it's a crime drama with a heart, a message, and a sense of truth.
This is an enjoyable show that raises some interesting questions not typically considered by primetime TV.
It has been well established that the legal system often convicts innocent people. This show dramatizes the complexity of how that happens. We might even get some ideas about how to make things better! Insights are good things....
There are definite comedic points in the interplay of the ex-cop team leader and the politico head of the project, the team leader and the women.
At times, the forensic examinations reveal really interesting tidbits that are very clever.
It is fun to watch this show, and given some more time, the characterizations will get better. Good stuff to be aware of.
Enjoy!
