I'm only a third of the way through this series, but i can't help but comment, for i simply CANNOT get over how undeniably lovable this drama is.
I'm not the type of person who watches romance dramas as they just don't interest me, but i went against my better judgement simply because i'd heard all my friends raving about this show. And wow, was i ever impressed.
The story is essentially simple in its premise but has been made interesting by adding a mix of wit, slapstick humour and a great cast. I am not particularly a Rain fan and have never seen Song Hye-Kyo in anything previous to watching this show, but i was greatly impressed with their acting and the chemistry they shared.
I found myself from being completely non-plussed by the whole drama to start off with, to constantly giggling and squeeing at the television; a reaction that has rarely happened in all the years i've been watching TV dramas.
The only thing holding me back from giving it a 10/10 is the horrid wardrobe Yeong-Jae sports. I can't remember how many times i balked at the screen because he walked into the scene wearing yet another low-cut, cleavage revealing top and ridiculously mismatched pants, but i'm sure i would have made myself thoroughly hammered if i'd made a drinking game out of it ;D
Rain's man cleavage aside, this is a wonderful drama to watch; i'd definitely recommend it :)

After managing to see probably some 15-20 South Korean feature films produced between 1999 to 2005, I took the recommendation of the kind staff at my local Korean grocery store to check out the more popular TV series. Starring the rather lovely Song Hye-kyo, playing an internet novelist and the curiously monikered Rain as a wildly popular young movie star, on the one hand it's a good example of the quirky mix of slapstick comedy interspersed with rather sobering moments of heartbreak and frustration experienced by the characters. The surprising fact is that the first episode follows a similar plot line to House of Sand and Fog, which certainly wasn't a comedy and was absolutely full of despair. Girl inherits lovely house on the coast from parents, struggles financially, circumstances lead to her losing most of her possessions and having her home sold off underneath her feet, new owner has little sympathy at first. That's fortunately where the comparison ends! Plenty of moments of Song Hye-kyo screwing her face up in disgust by some awkward thing she's said or done, and Rain (wearing his rather strange low cut male-cleavage shirts) glancing into the ether whilst biting his lip do eventually lead to a building relationship between a very odd couple. Words can not describe how huge a hit this series was in much of Asia, so from even from this not so Asian reviewer, Full House holds a charming appeal.
Yes, you read that right!
If you have been feeling low and want to feel happy, go for this drama.
This was the first korean drama I watched and absolutely loved it.
Trust me, when I was watching this series, I had a happy feeling throughout. Yesss...this drama made me happy.
The ever smiling Han Ji Eun gave me a new outlook towards life and taught me to smile no matter what.
The cool and cute Young Jae makes you smile when he just can't express himself and ends up making us laugh again and again :D
Lee Young Jae's first love interest brings a lot of twist in the story.
Yu min's character is also well written. He's so perfect that you sometimes end up feeling that Ji Eun goes to him. :)
All in all..a must watch..you'll surely love it! ♡

Ji-eun is the owner of the house her parents had left behind which is called Full House (the English translation of the TV series). On her first holiday trip to Shanghai, she met a celebrity on the same plane she was boarding - Yeong-jae.
That was the start of the things to come between the two of them.
When Ji-eun returned home from the holiday trip, she soon found out that her two friends had sold her house and was clearly furious. To her, the house meant all the world to her. It's where Yeong-jae came into the picture and he decided to move in, in order for Ji-eun able to pay off her debts as being an internet novelist trying to make it big someday as a movie scriptwriter. The two even made a marriage contract and gotten married, much to the surprise of many, even the media.
But like any other love stories, the two of them are caught in the tangle of Hye-won and Min-hyuk many a times. Also around this time, Yeong-jae's career had gone downhill. Yeong-jae had at times made snide remarks about Ji-eun's ability to become a movie scriptwriter. But the latter stuck to her beliefs. And in the end, her movie script was sent to Yeong-jae (he never knew at first) to play the lead role in a brand new movie which finally saw Yeong-jae back in the spotlight once more.
And does Yeong-jae really able to confess how he really feels for Ji-eun?
Comedy and the fights aside between Yeong-jae and Ji-eun, it's a pretty nice show. I first watched this on the DVD which my mother had it some time ago. Through the Mandarin translation, that is. It's recommended if you managed to find subtitles and/or translation suitable to your language ability.
