Quality of a Playboy video calendar was always subjective and for me 2006 didn't have any huge names or killer moments. It's still 80 mins of naked goodness, but other years were better. I do have to mention the confusing nature of the ladies being presented as something different than when they actually became Playmates and tell you a special guest here really stole the show.
"January" is Jillian Grace - Mar 2005 - certainly pretty in a western town undergoing a bunch of clothing changes. Next she strips in a cottage as an Avril Lavigne sounding track ripping off 'Complicated' plays thru the background. Why does Playboy do this? I get it's cheaper than licensing the real music, but it's distracting (6 mins). "February" is pale skinned redhead Scarlett Keegan - Sept 2004 - naked in a field then it's more laying around an estate (5.5 mins). "March" is petite blonde Kimberly Holland - Oct 2004 - who strips from a schoolgirl uniform then its a faux photoshoot in the desert. I wasn't big on her look to begin with, but this second part got way too artsy (5 mins).
"April" is Amber Campisi - Feb 2005 - briefly in a pink bra as part of a pink motif. Then inside a house kitchen, she applies oil to her body with a girl next door vibe going for her and naturally busty (6 mins). "May" is Kara Monaco - Jun 2005, PMOTY 2006 - getting out of an oversized dress shirt & tie. Then outside where she has her hair curled and only wears a lite top in a scenic overlook (5 mins). "June" is Qiana Chase - Jul 2005 - with a spiritual theme to start. Next a quick trek thru a house with either just a sheet or completely naked. I like Qiana's look, but wasn't a fan of how she was presented (6 mins).
"July" is Jamie Westenhiser - May 2005 - bouncing from one location to another care of a toy chest she climbs into then she has a sensual bath. Third lady in a row to sport the completely shaved look too (6 mins). "August" is Colleen Shannon - Jan 2004 - who rides a mechanic bull, a standard mix of lite boy/girl and apt solo posing in a mansion (9 mins). "September" is Cara Zavaleta - Nov 2004 - in & outside a house before more of the same on & off a couch (5 mins). "October" is Destiny Davis - Jan 2005 - surrounded by flowers outside then inside a mansion done with style, bubbles & champagne (5.5 mins).
"November" is Courtney Culkin - Apr 2005 - and was easily my favorite segment. She gets out of a yellow cab and proceeds to get fully naked looking great. Inside it's a strip played to a Lenny Kravitz ripoff tune, but the attitude helps the scene and Courtney's nice visuals (5 mins). "December" is Tiffany Fallon - PMotY 2005 - in & out of sexy costumes to begin. Then she's a female celebrity trying to avoid the paparazzi as she meets an attractive hunk in an elevator. This is where it gets fun - it's actor Greg Sestero - who everyone will know as Mark from the infamous flick 'The Room'. From a rooftop to back inside, he gets mesmerized by her naked beauty (11.5 mins).
Playboy video calendars aren't an exact science, but some years are better than others. Playmates chosen and their given scene choices. 2006 had one really good month in my opinion - Courtney - and some decent ones - Amber, Jillian - but seeing "Mark" here trying to improve his sex life was the most unexpected treat.
