Really enjoyed this series which has only just reached Australia. One of the cable channels out here screened 5 episodes a week so it was just like watching the boxed set.
Seasons 1 and 2 in particular were very good. Some of the story lines in Seasons 3 and 4 stretched the imagination a bit too far but they had created such a great group of characters by that time that it didn't really matter.
In particular Peter Outerbridge as David Sandstrom was a great lead character.
It will be missed.

This has held my interest for the duration.. I just don't get the 30 second 'time loop' flashbacks. cannot for the life of me understand their purpose, become disruptive..
Science talk fascinating.. Knowing noting about the subject, it sounds plausible, and is like a DNA 'who-dun-it' from episode to episode..
Characters, casting good.. Pretty much every actor gets a chance to 'shine in the light'. which makes it more appealing.. They really skirt some issues, they bring up, then again, this is entertainment, not soul evolving preaching.
All in all pretty fine.

I got hooked on this while viewing options on amazon.com prime videos. As I had watched only a few episodes of "House", I didn't expect this series to keep my interest, and only selected it as something different to watch. The plots behind each of the episodes are addictive. I end up wanting to know more about medical science, pharmaceutical companies, and elected officials' input into finding cures for a variety of medical issues. I enjoy about everything in this series: acting, sets, filmography, topics, parallel scene roll-backs, and true-to-life comparisons of medical issues' reality. Kudos to everyone involved with this production. I'm only into the first four episodes of season 2, and I hope it continues on this path of excellence.
As the summary notes I like this show because it excellent, Canadian, and shot in HD. Plus in Canada to find this original content on a digital channel is unheard of. Outerbridge was impressive as Detective Murdoch in "The Murdoch Mysteries" a holmeswellyan type broadcast on bravo. He performs equally here. The characters are well portrayed and are hard to put in to a box. They come across-ed as real not stiff or stereotypical. Some are definitely not hard on the eyes. Dmitry Chepovetsky is so believable as man social issues and a too huge IQ. The diverse ethnicity and backgrounds of the cast/characters adds interest and Canadian-ness to the show which I enjoy.
These genre of shows are starting to over saturate the networks. (science investigation, mystery, interesting locals) The closest comparison to be found on an American network would be "Medical Investigation". But as much as I enjoy Neal Mcdonugh the writing often stinks. I truly hope there is room time and money for mores seasons of this show.
Update: Season 2 is due in Spring of 2006. Yeah eh!

I am a fan of SciFi and have a hard time finding new material to watch and it was pretty hard to find this one.
I watched this series in 2012, few years after it was completed and I still found the bio-tech and other science content incredible and impressive for a fictional story. I don't believe that I have ever seen any fictional series or a movie with this amount of scientific content. Not that all the scenarios are plausible in reality but highly entertaining what-ifs in there. Kudos to whoever has wrote the scripts and I have been wondering if there a real scientist that wrote this.
There are multiple ongoing stories in each episode and one typically concludes while the larger theme continues.
The character development is excellent and the series is not shy to present main characters that mismanage ethical dilemma associated with their professions.
I have to say that I liked the editing of episodes too, there is rewinding trick that is used to show two simultaneous events that is quite interesting.
I miss this show.
