This looked to be a typical Lakeview Terrace kind of movie. Bad neighbor torments the new neighbors. This is beyond anything that I have ever seen. After watching, I found out that those in early screenings had physical reactions to this movie. I can tell you that I did. My family lives for horror movies. But this is not really a horror movie. You cannot unsee what this gives you.
If you enjoy sick, twisted torture porn like Saw and Hostel, you may enjoy this. It is nothing that I have ever encountered before, and I do not want to encounter again. This is a case of "bad brain" on steroids. Supposedly based off of 2 true stories. I used to think that reality is worse than fiction. This may have changed my view on that.

I love all types of horror movies. Movies with ghosts, teenage camp-counselors getting killed, intruders in your dreams, devil worship, monsters, zombies, stalkers, murderers, etc . . . Anything with apparitions, suspense, violence, killings, shocking moments, jolts, and gore. But none of these elements work unless they are accompanied by at least a few good actors, likable characters, half-way decent continuity, and semi-believable situations. In the gore department, Deadly End (Neighborhood Watch) delivers. Unfortunately, it ends there. Characters and situations are unrealistic and annoying. Young "Wendi" whines about everything and is afraid of her own shadow. I couldn't help but laugh when she hid in a box and didn't come out even though her husband was home looking for her! I also shook my head at the implausibility of Bob's lack of concern for his old neighbor when she crashed in his yard. And the diarrhea trail (yes, we are treated to a trail of poop!) that Bob leaves atwork is cartoonish! There are police who ignore break-ins and poisonings. During the neighborhood watch meeting, neighbors are flat caricatures who defend the psycho who proceeds to kick a life-support plug and calls Wendi a C***! ! And did anyone notice that the perverted power-guy and the psycho (Adrian), both had huge dark rings under their eyes that look drawn on. They both acted alike, so I guess that crazy people can be identified by dark circles under their eyes!
And how hard is it to figure out that the flowers from the psycho caused Wendi's poison oak reaction? I knew it as soon as the doctor mentioned poison oak. And I'm not a doctor, but how overdone was Wendi's allergic reaction to the oak? She looks like a severe burn victim or a monster.
Yes, the poop on the pants, the barfing, the flaking and pus on Adrian's face, and the surgical hole in Adrien's side are truly disturbing. And as far as shocking the audience with gore, the finale delivers. That said, don't expect good acting, believable situations, or any realistic ambiance to this movie. The sets are minimal and the fire engine scene is so low budget it resembles a high school play. This movie could have rocked with the right budget and actors. As it stands, it just disappoints.

This film was a surprisingly well made low budget horror film. For what it was, they did a brilliant job. The problem (for me) is what it was they were doing. It seemed that the creators made a list of things held sacred and spent a good, long while thinking very hard about how to most effectively desecrate each and every one in the most disturbing and unthinkable fashion... I would hate to say imaginable.
I am no novice to the land of indie horror. Working at Blockbuster, I watch every horror flick that comes in.
I simply cannot deal with some of the things that i saw in this movie. I was truly disturbed and sickened to the core of my being. Had the creators aimed to make a scary film, instead of the most demented torture-porn of all time, I am sure it would have been brilliant as this was ill.

Yes it is. But for all the wrong reasons! This movie is not only unwatchable for the faint of heart, but also for people who can stomach a lot more. They will get treated in a sick and disturbing way here!
A neighborhood watch (in case you didn't know already), is when neighbors/people watch out for each. This movie is about, what happens if that goes awfully wrong. It does get icky and gross here, so you should be warned before hand. And the only reason for that is, because the director wants to out gross every other movie there is. And in that respect (and in making us feel sick) he succeeds. But that doesn't elevate this movie ... I can't recommend this movie to anyone (although IMDb shows that there are people who were attracted and liked it, but there are only a few, and I mean maybe a handful of people who will like this)

And there are not much acclaim from my part of view. the story and some of the acting are just so freaking lame that its a shame to make a review on. the technical quality of this product are at times not even reaching the amateur stage. and this film are definately not for everyone to watch.
there are more bodygore and slash than most movies, but still it does not reach to the intestines of the body of films made by Fulci and others in the late 70's and 80's, so i was not at all frightened by this, rather more sickened and had to look at the framework of the tv just to avoid the worst of enema and intestines of body gallore. its a film for the psychosadismus members of silverscreen lovers, for the rest its a turn off litterally. the one and only good thing to say , is that the worst part of this flick starts 10 minutes before the end so if you want to avoid or brace yourself for the impact , now you know.
the grumpy old man , who grew up in the crazy bloody days of vhs home movie media, have seen a lot worse than this, and i think its pretty unnescecary to watch. its not a recommend at all, and do keep minors away from these kind of stinking feature in the future, i was mentally ruined back then when i was young so beware.

Going into Neighborhood Watch, I really knew nothing about it. A year or two ago it had some nice hype surrounding it, but somehow it stayed pretty damn elusive....well, to people who don't have the means, if ya know what I mean. But thankfully, a pal of mine gave me the opportunity to view this, and I'm happy to say this film delivered the goods.
The story revolves around a husband and wife who move into their new home, he's got a new job and she's happy decorating the house. All seems well until they meet their neighbor Adrian. Let me just say before Adrian appears on screen the movie is slightly tedious, not so entertaining and the feel of it's low-budgetness is really evident. But the actor who plays Adrian brings an over-the-top insanity that was really a fun ride witnessing. Like what Evol said in his review, this movie delivers some really good laughs. It's dark comedy at it's darkest, and when delivered by this goofy, insane character, it's really a nice treat.
Overall the movie isn't really amazing, but with it's dark themes and dark humor, Neighborhood Watch turned out to be a very welcome addition to the weird world of horror. Definitely give this movie a shot if you enjoy low budget films that are weird and most definitely sick. 7.5 outta 10

Well after reading some of the buzz on the internet, I obtained an advanced screener of the movie. When I heard that people were having physical reactions to the film, I knew it would be right up my alley. I was not disappointed! I love a good villain, and Adrian is not your typical bad guy. Most psychopaths in horror movies have a mystery about them, and you don't see the human side. With Adrian, it is his "realness" that makes him so freaky, you actually could live next door to him! I really like the lead actors, and within the story, small characters shine and add some levity to the suspense. Without spoiling anything, I'll just say that the final scenes will be scarred into memory probably for life!

A young couple Bob and Wendi Peterson moves into a desolate neighborhood as a part of Bob's new job in the company called Zeecor. However their neighbor Adrian seems a little bit strange. He brings them a box of poisoned home-made chocolates as a welcoming gift. Soon the couple are spending most of their time on the toilet with a heavy diarrhea. After this poisoning attempt Bob and Wendi realize that something is very wrong with Adrian and tell him to leave them alone.Such unkind behavior of young couple makes Adrian furious and all hell breaks loose..."Neighborhood Watch" is a nasty and disturbing horror film that left me speechless. The cinematography is excellent as it captures perfectly the atmosphere of isolation and madness. The film is not as gory and disgusting as some people claim, but several scenes are truly sick and bizarre. We see Adrian masturbating by sticking his finger in a half-sewn hole in his stomach while stabbing himself in the testicles with a hypodermic needle or incredibly yucky self-taught surgery performed on Wendi. The main characters are well-developed,the direction by Graeme Whifler is excellent and the special effects are very realistic.Overall,"Neighborhood Watch" is a hauntingly morbid and upsetting indie horror flick that teaches us one thing:never take candy from a stranger.9 out of 10.
