Jason Momoa’s 10 Most Badass Roles, Ranked
You may know him as Aquaman, but his real name is Jason Momoa. Born in Hawaii to a photographer and a painter, Momoa has become one of the biggest action stars around. He got his start on Baywatch, if you can believe it, as Jason Ioane. From there he went on to star in shows like North Shore and Stargate: Atlantis.

He then made appearances in comedies like The Game, but it wasn't until Momoa was cast as Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones that he truly began to gain notoriety. From there he went on to be cast as Arthur Curry in the DC Cinematic Universe. He's been in a ton of stuff, and we're ranking of Momoa's most badass roles.

Saturday Night Live (1975)
‘Saturday Night Live’ Review: Jason Momoa Makes His Enthusiastic Debut
Saturday Night Live (1975)
Another week, another first-time “Saturday Night Live” host. Jason Momoa is Aquaman — he’s kind of a big deal under the sea — but he’s also considered a hunk and a heartthrob, a point this episode has no problem acknowledging. He rips off tearaway pants at one point, which was perhaps expected by fans tuning in to see him.

But here’s a disappointing spoiler alert, fans: There is no “Stargate: Atlantis” or “North Shore” reference in this episode, because the “SNL” writers are aren’t about completely giving the audience what they want. Oh, a “Game of Thrones” sketch, huh? How unexpected.

Host: Jason Momoa

First of all, the title of this monologue on YouTube is “Jason Momoa Mo-Monologue.” Cute.

This opening monologue sets the tone of Momoa’s work in the episode, for better or worse, because like he says, he’s a real “‘SNL’ super nerd dork,...

Fox extends 'North Shore' stay
North Shore (2004)
Fox Broadcasting Co. has given a full-season pickup to its new drama North Shore, from 20th Century Fox TV. The drama set at a swanky Hawaiian hotel has been a slow starter for Fox ratings-wise since its debut in June as part of the network's effort to shift to a year-round programming cycle. Fox entertainment president Gail Berman said the show had shown enough promise from a creative standpoint to warrant more time to find its legs. The show's numbers in its target demo of adults 18-34 and women 18-34 have also inched up in recent weeks, Berman said. "We see real promise for this show, and we're seeing (ratings) growth," Berman said. "We're also very, very happy with the cast. We think we have some true Fox stars in there. We're betting on the future and betting on the fact that soaps often need time to grow."...

Shannen Doherty To Play Brooke Burns' Sister
Luke Perry, Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Brian Austin Green, Ian Ziering, and Gabrielle Carteris in Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990)
Former Beverly Hills 90210 star Shannen Doherty is heading to Hawaii to play the "bitchy" sister of Bruce Willis' ex Brooke Burns in new TV show North Shore. Doherty will start appearing on American TV screens from September 20 as Alexandra Hudson, an "ambitious" long-lost sister of Burns' character Nicole Booth. TV network Fox is hoping to boost the recently-debuted show's struggling ratings by adding some extra screen sizzle with Doherty's mean character. Doherty says, "I'm lucky because I have a really loyal fan base and I hope they come over. We're still fleshing (my character) out. I think Alexandra has a lot of vulnerability. She grew up knowing her dad was alive and that he knew she was alive, yet wanted nothing to do with her. I'm sure she has some daddy issues." The brunette beauty will appear in a three-episode arc on the show, with an option to become a regular fixture if the series is given the go-ahead to continue.

CBS led the rerun-laden primetime pack once again on Monday with solid turnouts for repeats of CSI: Miami and comedies Everybody Loves Raymond and Two and a Half Men. CBS won the night in total viewers (9.6 million) and the adults 18-49 demo (3.2 rating/10 share), according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research. CSI: Miami (11.1 million, 3.8/11) as usual was the most-watched program of the night. The eye network's 9:30 p.m. comedy Men (10.6 million, 3.8/11) impressed by growing slightly from its Raymond lead-in (10.7 million, 3.5/10) in the demo. NBC was No. 2 for the night (7 million, 2.9/9) with its regular slate of a Fear Factor repeat followed from 9-11 p.m. by fresh episodes of summer reality series For Love or Money 3 or Who Wants to Marry My Dad? Fox was a distant fourth (4.2 milion, 2.0/6) with only so-so performances from new drama North Shore and The Casino. CSI (15.3 million, 4.6/14) also ranked once again as the top program for the night. Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones in Two and a Half Men. Dos hombres y medio (2003)
CBS and NBC battled it out for ratings glory Monday night with Fox's all-original lineup still struggling. With its regular lineup in reruns, led by Two and a Half Men (11.4 million, 3.9/10) and CSI: Miami (11.7 million, 3.8/11), CBS averaged 10 million total viewers and a 3.3 rating/10 share among adults 18-49, according to early Nielsen estimates. The season premiere of NBC's reality series Who Wants to Marry My Dad? (7.9 million, 3.5/10) fared better than the The Next Action Star debut in the 10 p.m. slot last week but still, it was a rerun of Fear Factor (8.9 million, 3.7/12) that lifted NBC to 8 million viewers and 3.4/10 in 18-49 for the night. At 9 p.m., NBC's For Love or Money (7.3 million, 3.8/11) was flat from last week. Fox (5 million, 2.2/7) was third for the night with scripted North Shore (4.6 million, 2.1/7) and reality The Casino (5.3 million, 2.3/6) both down from their so-so premieres last week. Rounding out the top four was ABC (5 million, 1.9/5).
