It is implied that Dean may have murdered her - on the commentary track for the episode, Todd says that Dean "has to be careful what he says here" when he is discussing Madeleine. Also, when Garth brings up Madeleine's street theatre act where she would take things from people, Dean says he would "beat the hell out of her" if she tried that with him. The uncomfortable silence that follows from the three is more than a little suggestive.
