Jerry Mandy gets weighed at one of those machines which give you your fortune, and finds out the hard way that it's not accurate.

It's a Cameo Comedy, which means it's a one-reel comedy. There are lots of comedies of that length, and in the waning days of silents, a lot of them were made and forgotten. This one doesn't deserve that fate, because there are a couple of very nice extended comedy gags: one in which Mandy and several other victims get slapped with a soapy mop, leading to another one, in which Mandy and a pursuing cop get stuck to a a couple of long planks, so they wind up cross-country skiing.
