It's been so long since I watched this show. It's amazing how nostalgic it is. This is an anime based on the Kirby games. I admit to never having played the games, but I've seen them played plenty of times. It's notable in having the new characters Escargoon, Tiff, and Tuff. I admit it is a bit disappointing how Kirby doesn't talk.
Tiff and Tuff are usually the active ones. To be fair, they are pretty enjoyable characters. I like how the animation style switches with Escargoon, Dedede, and Kirby. I've seen so many bad video game adaptations this really does come out as one of the best. I like the goofy designs of everybody. It's fairly faithful to the franchise and enjoyable. ***1/2

It was a good little show. When it aired I was invested, after a while better shows were on, so I watched those instead. It's a good show it just didn't keep me engaged for too long.
Based on the Nintendo video game this show takes place on a far away planet called Popstar. Popstar is constantly bombarded by monsters that are ordered by Popstar's ruler King Dedede (pronounced De-De-De).
The monsters are part of an evil corporation called Night Mare Enterprises headed by a figure called NME who is determined to enslave the universe. Popstar's only hope is a Star Warrior who goes by the name of Kirby.
Kirby does come to Popstar but at the wrong time. Kirby is a baby and does not have the fighting experience. To make matter worse Dedede is not found of Kirby and is determined to take out Kirby for good with NME's help. Followers of the Kirby games know that Dedede is the main villian.
However a girl named Tiff who is very strong willed does her best to protect Kirby. She is helped by her brother Tuff (most of the time), and by Meta Knight who is a Star Warrior himself and one of few warriors left after losing to Night Mare Enterprises. Together they help Kirby in perfecting his skills and to be the light of hope to defeat NME.
Kirby for the most part is played of laughs since this show is produced by Nintendo and 4Kids (who also produce Pokemon), but it still good fun. If your fan of the Kirby video game series you might enjoy this fun cartoon show.

I am not nor have I ever been a fan of anime. I never found anime appealing and I could not get myself to appreciate the designs of the characters in most anime. However, I have to say that Kirby: Right Back At Ya (English Dub) is one of the only few anime's that I enjoy.
First, the story of the show surprisingly has continuity and I found it fun to follow the adventures of Kirby and his friends. The story can be slow in some episodes but it's usually the same plot, where one of the antagonists, Kind Dedede, continues to buy monsters in order to get rid of Kirby, and it is up to Kirby to save the day. I should note that I have played many Nintendo games since I was a child, but I never got into any of the Kirby games. I am aware that the show is not canon to the games but it sure makes me want to play a Kirby game.
Next, the characters are very cute and enjoyable to watch. Each character, ranging from Kirby to Tiff/Tuff, and King Dedede have multiple characteristics that make them likable. No character is unlikable nor makes me annoyed, even for the villains. Additionally, while the show progresses, we are introduced to more characters, but it is easy to get to know them all and appreciate the flushing of each character.
Finally, the animation is cute and colorful, however, the animation can be very choppy at times. For example, the show uses both 2D and 3D animations. But the transitions are incredibly off putting, where one shot a character is in 2D, but in the next the character is in 3D. The 3D elements look nice for action scenes, but for general scenes without action, it's very noticeable and hard to watch.
Overall, it is a very cute show with nice action, charming characters, and an interesting story. Even if you have never played a Kirby game or if you're not a fan of gaming in general, it is still easy to enjoy the show as it does not tie into the games. Heck, I believe that watching the show will get viewers to want to play a Kirby game.

Kirby: Right Back At Ya is a really great show because Kirby is my second favorite video-game character next to Sonic the Hedgehog! This show was dubbed by 4 Kids Entertainment (the same entertainment company that dubbed Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh) and the show is about a hero from a different planet named Kirby who had a ship that crashed in Dream Land a place ruled by King Dedede along with his assistant, Escargoon. King Dedede is a pretty tricky king who keeps ordering monsters from this one company called Nightmare Enterprises which is headed by The Cloaked Nightmare who is the real villain of this show. Kirby fights the monsters out of Dream Land to protect Dream Land and Cappy Town along with Tiff and Tuff. Kirby is a cute and very powerful little guy that can suck a certain thing up and become something else. For example, if Kirby sucked up fire he would become Fire Kirby or if he sucked up ice he would become Ice Kirby and well you get the idea! I glad that Fox Box now has two of the best video-game characters on their network! Kirby Right Back At Ya and Sonic X!
