The Shiny Show

Trust me, this is the new Rainbow! The arrogant tiger Tiggs, deranged monkey Mukka and bannana sensitive straight dog Dogsby all attempt a quiz based on videos. Most of the time they laugh at the word bottom and get high on eating bannanas. You have to see this to believe it.

The Shiny Show is brilliant! Okay so it's made for small kids but it's just so darn funny! They made up a story about a gingerbread cabbage and talking cows! And they said pants! Dogsbey is my favourite because I feel sorry for him. He never wins! And Tiggs is evil! Watch The Shiny Show! It's hilarious!

And should be treated as such.

However if you have a pre-school child in your house, this is a perfect way to spend 20 minutes in the comfert of Tigs, Dogsby and Mukka.

Tigs the Tiger is voiced by Sue Munroe, of Playdays fame. Sue is also a mainstream presenter on BBC Digital channel, CBeebies.

The puppets were made by Sally Preisig of Mimic Productions, Sally being the voice of Bella in The Tweenies, she also voiced Dogsby in series 1 of The Shiny Show, but couldn't do series 2 owing to her baby just being born!

Although The Shiny Show is still running repeat showings on CBeebies, the series was not recomissioned after series 2.

But if your an adult with a good excuse to watch childrens shows - don't miss, The Shiny Show !

Personally, i think this show is great. And i've recently discovered they're now selling dvds for really good prices on amazon too ! It's funny, educational, and really entertaining for kids and the family. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a good quality kids programme. The characters are funny and cute (especially the monkey) and each programme is simple and easy for your kids to understand and enjoy. Also the colours are bright and appealing to children and the theme tune is really quite catchy. The educational factor is also good, especially for younger children to improve memory and various other skills that children need. Overall i think 'The Shiny Show' is a very good programme that deserves to be seen by many.

We absolutely love this show. It's like watching a puppet version of Blackadder with Tigs being Queenie. When Dogsby has a banana it's hilarious, well it's hilarious most of the time and makes CBeebies a lot more tolerable, especially when we've had it on every day all day. It only seems to be on CBeebies at the weekend now and we like it so much that we're going to record it, not for the baby but for us. If you haven't seen The Shiny Show yet then set your recorder, you don't know what you're missing! You'll find yourself saying all their catchphrases even if you only watch it a couple of times.
