Nammora mandara hoove was something fresh that arrived in Kannada industry in late 90's. Shivrajkumar comes to Ramesh's (his close friend), home town and falls for the girl(prema) whom Rameshloves. The story is predictable but the difference the director makes is in capturing the beauty of unaccessible forests of YANA. The story also shows the yakshagana, cultural dance of Karnataka, as one of the important backdrop.The film was shot without a screenplay and to shoot in YANA, they had to employ a helicopter.

the film also has very funny moments with Kashi & the old grandmother. the juxtaposition of the behavior of the elephant and the humans has been very craftily utilizer for the movie. the film may seem very slow now, but in its release time it did wonders and the producers started to concentrate much on stories rather than stars.

Such a beautiful musical movie. Havyak dialect is portrayed perfectly. The beauty of western ghats has not been showed like this in any other movie.

What a wonderful story narration, what an acting by all , what a beauty of western ghats, what a music, what a twist. All are what a here. Evergreen movie , love to watch anytime anywhere! Just a soothing musical feeling.. I almost hears these songs every now and then. Blockbuster of Indian cinema. No one can match this music . Rating should be not less than 10.
