27 December 2006. This low budget, soft-porn drama is beset by some of the worst editing, sound dubbing, set design, audio problems, production values that almost destroy a rather intriguing storyline using numerous moments in a couple's life where they meet secretly having an affair. There are a number of scenes that get close to having some momentary emotional and intellectual epiphany (brainstorm). Some of the scenes seem confused, improvised without real meaning, and amateur acting of the worse sort. Noble in intent and just missing in places to reveal a sometimes meaningful relational experience overtime, the movie was too ambitious for its budget and eventual overall plot. Four out of Ten Stars.

I really wasn't sure what to expect from this movie. What did they mean by "outside the box"? Well they fooled me. I wish that I could say that the acting was the worst part of this movie. As bad as it was the production values were even worse. Bad script, bad directing, bad everything. This should be shown to all potential movie makers as an example of how not to make a movie worth watching.

Save your time for something more useful than this empty waste of film. You have been warned.

I rented this on a whim from Blockbuster, in exchange for a DVD I was returning. Never again.

The fact that this 2006 movie has only 29 votes and only 1 other review at the time I'm writing this one (Jan 2011) already says a lot. Indeed, the movie is - bottom line - a waste of time. For an interesting portrayal of power play, watch "Nine 1/2 Weeks" instead. For relationship evolution over time, there are countless better movies. This one isn't even sexy, although its theme is a carnal affair.

What else? Pseudo-intellectualism, bad editing, amateur acting, and a gratuitous cartoon character at one point.

If you are interested in how not to make a motion picture then this is the film for you! I was fooled into believing that if Martin Landau was involved then it had to be somewhat professional. Maybe if he had more than a 3 minute scene there may have been some hope. The actors were stiff, the dialog was mundane, and production was amateurish. The lead actress' young son was in a scene, how appropriate that was I'll let you decide. The only good thing I can say about this movie is that it wasn't long. I gave it 1 star only because Martin Landau delivered his usual adept performance. Fortunately for him it didn't ruin his career!
