No doubt American Latino moviemaking is still evolving, yet a movie like this is one example of the dynamic spectrum of content which can and will appeal to a general english speaking audience. The visual cinematic look of this low budget movie enhances the outstanding comedic performances of the actors and beautiful actresses. The movie empowers Latinos as the good guys, rather than exposing them in the stereotypical roles audiences are accustomed to. Although the special effects are quite amateurish, they evoke an obvious tribute to the model/diorama based visual effects of years past.
