It's very rare that I get the kind of feeling that I get from Oswald. Mostly this feeling comes from shows I remember fondly from being a child; that warm spot that grows deep down as I watch. But here I am, too old to be a kid anymore, and I have always gotten the exact same feeling from Oswald. There are so many wonderful people working to create this show, and some great actors lend their voices to the characters. I suppose I should mention that I am the biggest David L. Lander fan in the world (you think I'm exaggerating, don't you?), and I get a terrificly peaceful feeling listening to Henry...and Henry seems to be one of the more popular characters on the show (who can't identify with him?), which makes me very happy. Thank you and good blessings to Dan Yaccarino, to the talented staff and musicians behind the show, and especially to David, Fred Savage, and the rest of the talented Oswald cast. This show makes me very happy, indeed!
Wow! This is a really cute, fun, entertaining, and educational show. I said that because I watch this on Nickelodeon and Noggin with my 19-month-old nephew from time to time. It's hard to say which show on Nickelodeon and Noggin is the best. Still it's really cute, fun, entertaining, and educational. Before I wrap this up, I'd like to say that the people at Nickelodeon and Noggin really know how to reach a toddler's developing mind. Now, in conclusion, if you have children, nieces, or nephews, I strongly recommend this really cute, fun, entertaining, and educational show. I guarantee you that they will enjoy it.
Just a few items from Oswald, a show as a father, I tremendously enjoy watching with my four-year old daughter.
I too, always feel good about actors making time to do shows for kids. People like the Fred Savage's, David Lander's and God rest his soul, John Ritter (Clifford) should be commended for their efforts.
My daughter loves just saying the word.....Oswald.....just like they do at the end of the opening.....she loves all the characters, and always gets a kick out of whatever problem gets solved....
This is a great show....and surprisingly, it took me a while to really enjoy it. But now I can watch it two times a day.
No more, no less.

Browsing the other users' comments, it's nice to see I'm not the only adult who enjoys Oswald.
Personally, I find the arrangement of themes, melodies, voices, colours and shapes intensely soothing. I'm convinced there's something scientific, almost mathematical, in the way the elements come together to balance out my alpha waves, or chi, or biorhythms, or... uh, some such thing.
Well, it's clear that I'm not quite ready to write a thesis on the subject, so here it is in a nutshell: Oswald is an iron fist to black moods, in a friendly blue octopus-shaped glove. Watch an episode by yourself, or with your preschoolers (borrow some, if you must): I defy you not to have a smile on your face when it's over.

This show is fantastically relaxing and sweet and will leave you feeling warm inside. The simple plot, full of small details that reveal complexity, and pleasant music enhance the viewing experience. Fred Savage's voice is perfect for the role.
I highly recommend it.
