I went to see this movie when it appeared in cinemas. I had the opportunity of going to it when the actors where there. They sat and watched the movie like we did, but they preferred to leave the cinema before the movie was over. I guess because all the laughing they heard. This movie is a very good comedy, considering it was meant to be a serious one. I didn't understood why the actors were talking in English and in Hungarian, even though they were in Romania. I guess this is the effect that Dracula had on them. The dialog can make you laugh, if you compare it to the one you'll find in almost every movie that's not made in Romania. In my opinion, the two lines that deserve attention is " the boss is p***ed off " and " in our time, we used to smoke pot and f**k like rabbits ". The vampires are great, every one of them is wearing t-shirts with bands written on them, like offspring, and they all have long hair, probably some students who listen to rock music, and didn't had any money to buy beers.
We rented this under the title "Dracula's Curse"... WOW is it BAD!! Where to I begin? It sounds and looks dubbed, but the actors are obviously speaking English [someone has posted that a few of the actors had their English lines dubbed in, so maybe that's why]. There are some scenes that are obviously supposed to be scary/sexy/exotic, but the actors come off like college students in Halloween costumes at a cheap haunted house. The acting is TERRIBLE!! Maybe it's because the actors are speaking English and don't understand their lines? Anyway, if Mystery Science Theater were still around, this really, really bad movie would be a prime candidate for some great commentary. If you're so inclined, this is the perfect movie for a home MST treatment. Otherwise, don't waste your time or money.
It's the first time in my life when i regret that i don't have the possibility of giving negative votes. I simply can't understand some things. Why a romanian movie, with romanian actors, filmed in Romania is TAKING PLACE IN U.S. ????? This is just too much for me. I can understand the low budget and that they couldn't go to N.Y for shooting this "movie". OK no problem but why saying "All right now we are in NY!" and they were in Herastrau Park? I stood in that cinema hall and watch this "movie" to its end only to see the name of the guy who wrote the script and the name of the director. Perhaps they wanted to do the worst movie ever. It's the only explanation i'm trying to accept but i didn't hear it before seeing this "movie" so... now it's hard for me to buy even this. God Knows!

I saw the movie and I like it. ! The story was good , the music was great , the locations where they shoot it are very nice ( original locations). You have to see the first Romanian movie about Dracula. It was made in English directly , but some of the actors were dubbed by Americans and Vlad was dubbed by Marcel Iures. It is the first action movie ( made entirely by Romanian crew )made after 1990.
It's a pitie that Dracula is known only from the american movies! My God, he was a Vojevod of Valachia (a region in Romania)! So we decided: we will be the first (and probably the only) romanian producers who will have the courage to do a romanian movie about the history and the legend of Dracula. Because we are romanians our Dracula is the positive character although he is immortal and . he, probably, lives among us.
