Top tier comedy . Brilliantly acted by all cast .
Reasons why it failed are not because it's not brilliant ;
1-The title is literally 'Orrible because it begins with an apostrophe and is not a grammatically correct word , which makes it harder to search for and remember .
2-It was released the night before a major worldwide event that was a hoax or maybe not , 9/11 . And nobody wanted a comedy for a while after that.
3-Definitely needs to be renamed.

I love this show I understand people hated Jonny vaughn at the time of this show but he is brilliant in this. Him and Ricky grover made a great team. The script is sharp and funny. With the other characters adding to this Love Noel And the Pub owner tim. with his war stories and his posh accent. This show is genius. Paul clark aka Jonny vaughn was driving a used ford granada in this show in 2001 after sean torched his red rover 827si. I would love to know what car he would be driving now maybe a used lexus is200 alan partridge style. But this show is well worth a watch from start to finish is a epic comedy and some laugh out loud moments included.

I have heard all of the bad press about Johnny Vaughn's debut writing comedy effort "'orrible" and I would have to disagree with the reviews. Although there were a couple of episodes that didn't work at all, for the most part of the series I was laughing out loud. There probably won't be a second series, so I just hope this one is repeated at sometime.

This show has a genuinely orrible vibe about it. With the rough characters and grimy sets etc.. it looks and feels very much like Fools & Horses - and in some ways.. the characters could be what you'd expect to find in that classic show.
Johnny Vaughan shows his acting talent playing Paul, a guy who dresses like a teenager.. and acts like one too. I really like how he pretends to be someone he's not - and his friend Sean( played brilliantly by the funny Ricky Grover ) always believes all his porkies. Sean is also ever eager to help his pal - with often hilarious results.
Overall, this show is very funny. It has a down to earth charm, amusing characters, and well-written scripts.
All the critics who slated this at the time.. were bang out of order. Supposedly Johnny subsequently said the show was "sh*t" .. but I think it's because he was annoyed by the hard time he got.
I'd much rather watch this than Shameless, but sadly.. the viewing public don't share my taste. Orrible people.

I'm an American, and I'd never heard of Johnnh Vaughan, but I loved Ricky Glover in "Getting On" so I gave it a go. The first episode is not that great, but keep watching, because the subsequent episodes are hilarious. It's sort of like a combination of "Peep Show" and "Minder" -two childhood friends, one a fantasist and the other a socially awkward weirdo, navigating love and friendship together.
I get the feeling that people have something against Johnny Vaughan, but whatever it is, it's irrelevant to the show, which I highly recommend. Episodes can be found on that video website owned by Google.

I remember watching this when it first aired. I (plus a load of mates at the time) thought it was fantastic. Such a shame it got panned, yet most people enjoyed it.
I will have to find a platform to watch it on again. Hopefully it is as funny as I remember it to be.

It seems that only 2%of the people who saw this alleged comedy hate it....but the other 98% have forgotten it.
"Written", for want of a better word ,by narcissistic talent vacuum Johnny Vaughn who also stars. The co-star is Britain's Least Funny Man Ricky Grover. Grover's presence in any production in any capacity guarantees an instant fail.
The majority of people say that this series is unfunny. They are wrong. Unfunny is the lack of amusement. This production is actually ANTI funny ie the opposite of funny.
As well as being ineptly written and acted it is incompetent in every imaginable area..direction, production values and so on.
If you haven't seen this tripe, count yourself lucky.

I, like many other of the followers of this series don't understand how it got so slated, maybe you need to a bit of a ducker and diver to get it, maybe women didn't like it because its not focused on females in anyway, but i for one personally love this programme and watch it often. They say Johnny Vaughs acting in this was terrible but i think he acted exactly as he wanted to look and pulled it off perfectly, Ricky Grover also perfect as is Wilmott-brown as the ex special forces bar owner, good little series nice little story lines which build up to a really good ending, watch it trust me give it a go, but obviously don't take it to seriously as some other people obviously have.

I have seen most of the episodes and I loved every single one. I would put this up in the ali-g league. Johnny is fantastic and his fat friend is also very good: "this is my world!!" he he. I promise you that I am not Germaine Greer type reviewer which means that if you watch this you will truly be entertained! Nuff said!

OK, so it got panned by the critics. That's no reason to have the big hate campaign against it. I absoloutly loved this series, and thing that it was a stand out piece of British comedy history. The 2 main characters were great, with Ricky Grover totally making every scene his own. The supporting characters were also great, Tim the barmans war storys had me in stitches. I recently bought the DVD and the commentary is fantastic, Johnny Vaughan doing what he does best, just talking away! If people had given this a chance instead of listening to the 'experts', the 2nd series Johnny mentions on the DVD might have been made.

I'd like to add that i also Really enjoyed this series, I'd even put it in my top FIVE list of Fav sit-coms of all time. So, why was a programme that was far far funnier than Only Fools and Horses given the push after 6 eps? Well In an age of "Sex and the City" and "Friends" and "Will and Grace", in a age were the women of this planet seem to control popular culture, nobody seems to want to watch a male buddy comedy which had no women as the main stars. Shame really. What else is there for the men of this world to watch on TV these days if they don't like sport? If you've not had the pleasure of seeing this fine show, and your a fan of "only fools", "Porridge" and other British male 'Buddy' sitcoms check this one out.

Never has a title been more appropriate for a tv show. This isnt in the slightest bit funny. I watched the first few minutes of the first episode, and then turned over. The usually funny Johny Vaughan does absolutely nothing for the series. He was funny on The Big Breakfast, but the tv show is insulting to his comic wit.
DONT WATCH!!!!!!!!
