The Worst Boy in Town

An excellent realistic gay film with male nudity. Raúl Buenfil is engaging, attractive, and highly believable as a tough kid with a sensitive interior. It is a fine performance. At day he is a gang leader spying on a girl in the shower with his buddies, rough-housing in the gym showers, creating a disruption in the restaurants. At night he dresses as a woman and goes to bars where he picks up male clients whom he treats with respect and affection. We witness his family and adoring mother whom he helps to support and his complete control of his gang with whom he acts the delinquent and who know nothing of his other life. His struggle to survive by bridging both worlds is touching and unforgettable. It's surprising how much he and director Enrique Gómez Vadillo manage to convey in the film's brief 60 minutes. Its gritty realism is comparable to Luis Buñuel's Los Olivdados. Do not miss an opportunity to see this one.
